We wanted a hotel close to the Gare Montparnasse because we were catching an early train to the southwest of France from Paris. The Maison Montparnasse met our needs perfectly. The young woman at the reception was extremely helpful when we checked in. There was always coffee and hot chocolate available at the reception, and the morning breakfast was excellent....

The staff here are really awesome. And our room was quiet and comfortable. However showers were lukewarm and the wifi did not work. Good location for Montparnasse or Pernety. Try the Velib - 24hr bike rental at nearby rue Alesia, free for one day with valid credit card.

The room was smaller, as you expect with Parisian hotel rooms unless you're paying big bucks. It was clean and staff was friendly. It was in a neighborhood with good restaurants and easy access to metro and walking distance with luggage from Gare Montparnasse. It's on a quieter street with limited road noise which was extra awesome!

The hotel is on a quiet Gergovie street but when you go around the corner you step into a lively street with bars, restaurants and little shops. The Pernety metro station is close and it's easy to move around from there. The hotel is small, peaceful and renovated and decorated nicely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are...

My worries that the standard wouldn't be great because of the low price. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. We visited with friends from Australia and had a lovely stay. Breakfast was extremely generous in bright cheerful surroundings with helpful and pleasant staff. Thank you!!

The location is great. The stuff is pleasant and helpful. It's a boutique and quiet hotel. There is nice lobby with free coffee or tea, journals etc. The room is clean. The breakfast is 10 euros and I can recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was recommended by a family member who stayed here with her husband on a long weekend in Paris. Quaint boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff. They are going with a "feels like home" atmosphere and it seemed to be working while we were there! The room was small (but,...

Our stay was very pleasant. It's a quiet and quaint hotel with a great and warm service. One small complaint was the inconsistent wifi reception in room 16, but the comfortable lobby with free coffee or tea more than made up for that. The 3 bed room was clean and spacious enough for us, and had us sleep like babies...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

“We had a room number 21 which was very pretty and quiet, but had a super small toilet. There is no room for legs when you close the door unless you decide to keep it opened and 'entertain' your partner as it is facing the bed. I have no idea how toilet facilities look in other rooms.”
