We have truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sookie. What started out as a really bad situation turned out great. On our way to Paris from Barcelona, we found out by chance that our reservation for 8 days at Hotel Sookie had been lost. We contacted the hotel to see what could be done. The hotel was completely booked. The manager of the hotel jumped into action. Realizing that a mistake had been made and taking full responsibility, Aurelie searched for other places for us to stay. She negotiated prices and gave us some options. Then she helped by making reservations at the lovely hotel of our choixe at a very reduced rate. That hotel had a large room near the Champs Elysees. While the Champs Elysees is nice, our hearts were set on staying in the Marais. Fortunately we were able to return to the Hotel Sookie for 5 days of our trip and were so pleased we had made that choice. The staff is helpful and accommodating, each and every one of them. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of. They helped us with finding the best way to go places and made suggestions along the way. While the rooms are on the small side (it is Paris), they are decorated in a fun and hip way and are well appointed with coffee, hot pot for tea and with a small frig. The breakfasts are really good with many options to choose from. The ambiance in the common areas is upbeat and rather hip, featuring a great selection of music . When we brought food back and put it in the room frig, the staff was so sweet and heated it up for us the next day. In addition, when we could not stay at the Hotel Sookie initially, the staff there arranged to go to the center of town, pick up our museum passes and had them delivered to the new hotel. That is truly an amazing level of service. Thank you Hotel Sookie for everything!

Dear Lisa, Thank you so much for taking the time to describe us in such good terms. It is a real pleasure to see that despite a somewhat troubled start to your stay, the Sookie was able to meet your expectations and offer you a relaxing time in the Marais. The fact that you were able to feel the warmth of the place and feel comfortable with us is a real source of pride. The whole team is extremely touched, especially Aurélie. We wish you once again a wonderful birthday, Mrs Lisa, and we hope to see you again very soon.

Walking into this hotel after a hectic day was a great way to start unwinding. We were met with very friendly and welcoming staff. All of the staff that we encountered spoke both French and English, which made the check in process easy. It was evident that the owners took great pride in creating a relaxing and warm environment.
The soaps and lotions provided in the room were very high quality. The room provided temperature control for heat and air conditioning.
I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay at Hotel Sookie again when visiting Paris.

Dear MikeByler, We would like to thank you for your kind words. Knowing that the Sookie team made your stay a pleasant one is a wonderful accomplishment. Indeed, we take pride in providing good quality products. The soaps and lotions in the rooms are all from Terre de Mars, a French brand that only offers organic, cruelty-free and vegan products. Only the best for our guests! We are looking forward to seeing you again, dear MikeByler!

My husband and I stayed here 4 days after we got married. We stayed in the cosy Deluxe room, which had been decorated with petals upon our arrival. The staff member of reception upon our arrival, and during our whole stay, was very friendly and helpful. We can't rate him highly enough. He had a great demeanour and made excellent recommendations for dinner. The room was a perfect size for us both, and the location was very quiet despite being in the heart of a busy area. The cafe was a great convenience, and we had coffee and croissant and more than one occasion. The bed was super comfy and the toiletries were a step up from the usual. Check out was swift, our bags could be kept to pick up later, and an offer to book a taxi was made. We would absolutely come back here again.

You can't beat the location. It's in the middle of the Marais, across the street from Mary Céleste and a skip away from shops and restaurants and with several métro options in the vicinity.
Don't let the boutique hotel marketing deceive you - the rooms are outdated, and the king bed is oversized for the size of the room (your suitcase will be on the bed or remain closed). No, this is not the Paris curse, as plenty of hotels have abundant space and proportionally-sized furniture.
Now the bad: cleaning carts are EVERYWHERE. You will have to move them around to access your room, and they block fire doors and access to the stairs. Also, don't count on using the elevator in the mornings and evenings - the cleaning crew blocks it. We had to carry our suitcases down from the 4th floor after waiting 15+ min and walked up/down several times during our stay (great for cardio!).
When asked, the front desk answered that they're a small hotel with no room to store their housekeeping equipment, that the cleaning staff gets priority usage of the elevators and has to block them in the morning and evenings to move around, and "why don't just use the stairs; they're right there". Mind you, they weren't simply in or out, they kept the elevators locked on set floors!
Come for the location and the free cardio. If carrying your suitcases up/down several floors is daunting, swipe left and keep searching.

The decor of this newly renovated hotel is totally in tiki style, very original and comfortable. Location in the middle of all the nice restaurants and shops, near the place de Vosges for a evening stroll and bikes can be rent around the corner with Velib. Very nice staff, good breakfast, nice room and shower. And not so overpriced! They gave us breakfast for free because the airco leaked a little bit, not disturbing at all so very kind, thank you again. We will come back next year.

Beautiful interior design, made with lots of love to detail. Very clean. Very kind & helpful staff. Small Parisian room & they made the best out of the space available. As long as I can roll out my yoga mat & I have a dedicated work space (desk in the room, plus the option to sit in the Cafe / Living Room area to work) we’re good ;)
Delicious Hotel Cafe / Restaurant. Vegetarian & vegan option, as well as carnivore. Great coffee, which is somewhat rare these days… Vegan pancake option (savory & sweet), yummy smoothie, matcha latte, fresh fruit, croissants…
It’s in the center, so one can hear the street noise, earplugs are provided on the room - though I didn’t need them, for me it was not too loud, it’s a quite small street. Great location with many restaurant, bars, boulangeries, shops etc
I felt very comfortable, safe & it was an inspiring atmosphere, including the other Hotel and Cafe guests.

My son and I had the pleasure of spending two nights in this newly openened hotel well located near several metro stations in Le Marais. The crew was very welcoming and attentive - and generous when on Sunday morning at 9 a. m. the fire alarm went off (all guests being offered the breakfast free of charge; the breakfast, by the way, was very good). Also, we were given good advice and listened to when making suggestions for improvements. Hopefully, this place with its retro art deco and jazz touch will be around for long. Good luck and thank you very much! Greetings from Leander and Andri

10/10. An excellent stay in every regard. The staff at Hotel Sookie are amazing. Every single person we talked with was friendly, welcoming, and willing to go above and beyond to make us comfortable. We never felt like we were bothering them with our requests and they happily provided us with recommendations when we asked. All the staff spoke English well so it was easy to communicate with them. The hotel itself is well designed and comfortable. We loved the coffee shop downstairs, very convenient for jet lagged travelers. We booked the "spacy" room for our family of four including kids ages 5 & 2. It was well appointed with nice linens. Our kids slept on the fold out sofa together and we had plenty of room for our week long stay. We found the location to be perfect for what we wanted. Nestled on a quiet side street, yet close to plenty of shops and restaurants. We loved exploring Le Marais. Close enough to the tourist attractions to be convenient while still providing more of an authentic Parisian experience. Highly recommend Hotel Sookie for anyone!

This is a brand new hotel that opened just a couple months. But somehow they feel like they’ve been part of the neighborhood for years. The young staff are all SUPER sweet and exceptionally helpful and do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one.
You are in the heart of the Marais, so everything you could want is right within walking distance (side note: I had the best tartare of my life across the street at Le Mary Celeste.) Just be prepared to hear some street noise, especially on weekends.
Keep in mind the hotel renovated, what essentially was, a building from medieval times so sometimes the layouts can a bit odd. You could feel that the floors are a bit uneven, and the shower and toilet were in separate rooms. Hardly an inconvenience, just something to be prepared for. I’m glad I got their Spacey Room and had plenty of room to move around. Plus there was loads of closet space. Glad I got to stay here.

The staff pays special attention to the guests to offer it a memorable experience, we are indeed in the center of the Marais, close to the Louvre Museum or the Pompidou Centre a neighborhood still living with its many shops and restaurants. The hotel is new and renovated however it is indeed possible to hear noises coming from the street, we hope to be able to welcome you again in our hotel during next stay in Paris. front desk was hip to the neighborhood and super helpful. hotel and rooms have a cool modern 70s vibe. There is a lounge area that is full or original vinyl LPs with a turntable. Had room on the top 6th floor which was quieter than 1st 2 floors (6 rooms per floor all with view facing the street in front), but with the windows closed the sound from the small street below doesn't really bleed thru anyway. Like most rooms in Paris, the room is small, but this one is a bit larger than most. The bed was super super comfortable, big plus. Nice sheets and plump pillows. Hotel is new so all the fixtures are newer/modern. They do offer breakfast in the front lobby in the mornings but we don't do since there are so many boulangeries within a block or 2 from hotel. Perfect location to be able to walk both around the Marais as well as into the 11th. I will definitely come back.
