Nestled in the heart of the Marais neighborhood, Hotel National Des Arts et Metiers garners accolades for its prime location and high-quality amenities, including a vibrant bar and a lauded Italian restaurant. Guests often compliment the hotel's clean, stylish rooms and the commendable service provided by the attentive staff.
While many appreciate the modern atmosphere, a few note the bar's loud music can be disruptive. Opinions on the value are mixed, with some questioning the cost relative to room size and overall experience.

Hotel's Favourite
Just returned from a lovey stay at this hotel. Staffed with utterly elegant and friendly efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
The lounge bar featured a retractable glass roof to make it into a courtyard. Windows in the breakfast/lunch space opened to the street.
Breakfast was paid in the rate a good selection of cereals, fruit, pastries and scrambled eggs and bacon. Two types of juice and whatever hot drink you wished. The a la carte menu for such things a boiled eggs meant an extra charge. A little irritating since we had paid breakfast rate, but not unbearable.
Bedroom (signature) faced into this courtyard which meant it was quiet, and comfortable. All the usual, minibar, hairdryer, safe, robes and slippers. Very tastefully done.
Bathroom again very tastefully decorated but the bath tub edge was quite high and there was not a bath mat for the over-tub shower. Not a problem per se, but we were travelling with an older lady who if she had been in this room I would have felt this a little unsafe. And one complaint...at the price we paid, I really do not like having the hand wash and lotion, shower gel and shampoo, locked to the wall. At Euro 400 per night, this was not cool.
All said and done. I would happily stay here again.

We arrived and the hotel is stunning. We were greeted immediately and everyone was informed and very kind. Customer service was over exceeded out expectations, something that usually isn't our experience in Paris. Location was perfectly near all the hot spots but still quiet enough to feel like you could come back after a long day to a haven in Paris. The terrace was perfect place to get the night started and it attracts local hip Parisians so it was a cool scene to be apart of. The room was modern, clean, artistic and had every amenitity that we expected of an upscale hotel.

Very nice stay with a lovely rooftop terrace. Nice rooms and good breakfast. One minor thing is that when you have paid for your breakfast, it is only for a continental breakfast (croissant and coffee sort or less), but if you would like to have yoghurt or/and fruit you need to pay €10,- extra per person. It is misleading. In the end I think a breakfast of €25,- per person is way too much. For the rest I really liked this hotel and the comfort, so I should recommend it :-)

The hotel is in a beautiful location and is very nicely deisgned. However, on arrival I was asked to pay a €400 desposit even though I had already paid for my room up front. There had been no warning about this in my booking info so I hadn't accounted for it in my budget. This trip was a treat and and I am not a wealthy person so I didn't have a spare €400 in my account. The check in person was very snooty about this and said that he could not give me access to my room without taking this money. He said that most customers have enough money in their accounts to pay for this. This comment was very snobby and insinuated that most people are richer than myself and I shouldn't be staying here if I am not one of them. I ended up paying the amount, which comprised the majority of my budget for my three days in Paris.
The room was nice, but the double bed was two single beds pushed together, so I could only sleep on one side of it. You'd expect more comfort from such a hotel. The lighting in the room was also very bad. There was either the option of it being very bright or pitch black. The reading light next to the bed was extremely bright and not dimable. It would have been nice to have some soft warm relaxing dim light for the evenings. Again, this is a simple thing you'd expect from a hotel of this price. My bedroom at home has nicer ambience.

Really great stay at this boutique chic hotel. The room was spacious (for the central location). Close to the metro and little eateries around it. The room has high ceiling (not sure if this is the norm in Paris). It’s clean. Noncarpeted floor is always a plus. The bathroom is clean and modern. The shower has great water pressure. Has a gym on site. Overall not much to complain about. Definitely recommended.

All I can say is don’t book and expect you can stay. I booked months in advance and paid but when I turned up after 24hrs of travel at 11pm at night they informed there was a problem with my room and they were full. They advised I had to go to their sister hotel and pay for a taxi myself and ask for it to be reimbursed or walk there. Absolutely no apology or follow up - or even calling or emailing prior to my arrival to let me know. Nope they just expected me to come to the hotel with no notice and then move.
Even worse was when I got to the new hotel they did not have rooms with balconies which I specifically booked and were extremely rude and would only give a 10% discount and 2 free cocktails. They kept insisting I had been upgraded but again I booked a room with a large balcony and most importantly was not staying in the hotel I chose, booked and paid for. Honestly a terrible hotel group with very poor customer service. Do not stay.

Beautiful hotel with extremely bad and negligent service.
Included breakfast included one mini croissant and mini pain au chocolat, a machine cofee that we waited in half empty restaurant for 20 minutes and got barely warm. Totally unaccaptable for 4 star hotel.
General arrogant attitude.
Proof that good design in hotel is nothing if service is so poor.
You want to have a great Paris hotel experience, spend your money somewhere else.

The hotel is excellent in all areas. I was welcomed by a very professional and friendly staff. The room was beautiful with all the needed amenities. The pillows and bedding were the best and i slept very comfortably. The daily breakfast was welcoming and the ladies and gentleman assisting were quick to welcome you with a latte or cappuccino or anything that you might need. I loved sitting in the front tables having my latte and overlooking the beautiful French cathedral as well as the people passing by. The cleaning was done on time and all the bed sheets were changed on a daily basis. My room had a Juliet balcony overlooking a small park and the cathedral. I loved sitting on this balcony at the end of the day enjoying the French views, sounds of this beautiful city. Thanks so much to all the staff in this Hotel for making my stay an unforgettable one.

Do not ever go to this place if you are looking for an enjoyable experience with respectful staff. They clearly don't care about providing clients with a good experience and leaving them satisfied. Their attitude is horrendous and completely unacceptable for an establishment of this kind. The manager won't even try to fix the issue and make you feel comfortable once you complain, and will instead yell at you and let you know you can go elsewhere! What a joke they should be ashamed of such behaviour

If you want to avoid the very touristy areas then this hotel very near many pockets of typical restaurants and boutiques and located close to the Le Marais area is a good place to pick. It near a few tube/underground as well and 15 minutes from the large Les Halle centre and shopping area too
Accom standard is good quality and room were serviced on time. The lobby bar is also incredibly vibey and adjoins a great Italian Resturant.
Checkin was also quick and Fred gave us wonderful info regarding restaurants and places of interest.
Avoid a room with combo bath/shower. The ‘shower only’ had better pressure than the bath extension
Decor is a good quality and hotel is new and clean

Hello, there is a buffet but you are also in the possibility to order extra eggs or special breads. This hotel was just perfect, cosy, good bed , good food and a comfy bathroom. Don't hesitate :-)
The shampoo bottles were fixed bottles in the shower. They also offer body lotion that smells great. They do offer mini nail files and makeup removal pads! They are located in a small container on the bathroom shelf.
