Love the hotel staff great very helpful. Came with a large party of 18 year olds. Food good bar great clean well organised nice area. Parking for coaches on the Main Street nearby and a good drop off point out front. The whole experience was excellent. Lots to all floors and very helpful lobby with lots of information and basics... I stayed at FIAP for 2 nights, since I was a participant at one seminar which was held there. I was quite surprised when I got there because it looks way better than on pictures that I saw here. It's located in a nice neighbourhood, few minutes from the metro station and close to everything really. Our room was completely... More

Came here a few years ago with my school's music ensembles, as we were "touring" Paris. No one's instruments were stolen, which is obviously very good. Rooms are basic. I stayed in a 2 bed room, which had an en-suite, but we couldn't get it to work, so chose to use the communal shower and bathroom facilities on the corridor.... More

I have been taking pupils from Northern ireland and England to this hotel for over 26 years and we have all loved it. The staff are very welcoming and polite, the rooms are warm with all necessary facilities and the hotel itself is situated in a peaceful area of Paris. The food is great in the restaurant with lots of... More

THIS HOTEL IS THE WORSE I HAVE EVER STAYED AT! Since the first day I arrived here, I heard kids running, shouting, slamming, and jumping. Second day I was too pissed off because their noise woke me up in the morning (6, 7am ish). I opened the door and told them to quiet down and they just laughed at me... More

As a hostel I was very surprised at the clientele, not your average backpacker. As the hostel facilities include conference rooms there were numerous business groups, church groups, and a variety of middle aged groups also. I was in a recently refurbished room on the 6th floor. Lovely separate wc and shower room. Fresh and crisp linen and towels. Very... More

It may not be luxurious, but if you want to stay a few days in Paris without breaking the bank, FIAP Jean Monet is right up your alley. It's a hostel, but with added perks, such as two really good breakfast cafes with top quality croissants, jams, and other goodies, and really quite passable coffee. There is a bar downstairs,... I don’t know where to even begin with this place. Paris is an absolutely beautiful city with so many great people but this “hotel” made me resent coming each night of our one month visit. I have been to Europe 5 times and I have never experienced living conditions like this place. This hotel takes pride in being an international... More

Travelling solo, this was an ok option in central Paris. It had everything I needed, apart from wifi in the rooms. Rooms very basic, bit schooly and institutional. A well run hostel. Evening meal was excellent. Laundry room very useful but only 2 washing machines so would be a problem if busy. Nice courtyard garden out the back. I paid... More

FIAP Jean Monnet is conveniently located in the city centre and emulates an average hotel. In my stay, I encountered many people from all over the world. Fortunately for me, there was a conference going on during my stay which was organised by the prominent NGO, ICP (Innovations in Civic Participation). The rooms are quite spacious and the toilets are... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
