This was a nice small hotel with charming furnishing and ok breakfast. We were happy to stay only one night as the night was extremely hot - there was no airconditioning what so ever. Please check with hotel in advance if travelling during hot months. The location is perfect, just few minutes to the harbour and shops, parking also easy.

As a solo Traveller arriving & departing by train, a 10-15 minute walk from the station, this hotel was perfect. A small older hotel oozing charm whilst perfectly functional. A small lounge area in reception, a tiny breakfast area and very central location which was ideal as I was able to walk everywhere from the Front Door. The bedroom was...

Central is situated in the center of Bastia, so there is a short walking to everywhere. The hotel is nice and clean, but some noise from the street can disturb at night. The breakfast is also recommendable.

Hotel Central is incredibly well positioned for a city break in Bastia. True, there are lots of stairs: true, some of the staff can be a bit abrupt - but we were very happy there for five nights. It was a bit like staying in a Matisse painting, with deep red walls and a wrought iron, sit out balcony, with...

In spite of no parking (but we just turned in our rental car early in town and took bus to airport -(actually we took a taxi that was picking people up at the bus stop but do NOT do this!) and no elevator (but walking up 6 steep flights got a smigeon easier each time), we still enjoyed this hotel....

We stayed at Hotel Central for one night at the end of a lovely week in Corsica. Unfortunately the man at the reception was exceptionally rude and ruined our stay there. He didn't welcome us, was very gruff when we asked polite questions and his only question was when we were going to pay. The room was a little tired...

I've never come across a more rude and unwelcoming person working in the hospitality industry. It made our last night in Corsica such a disappointment. He had a match hanging out of his mouth the entire time, didn't say hello or smile once. He was rude and unhelpful when we asked about where we could park our hire car. The...

We only stayed one night but loved this hotel. Its not particularly modern but has everything you need and is elegant in an old fashioned way. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking is in a nearby car park or on street. Parking is rather tricky in Bastia but don't let it put you off! A very pleasant stay.

We stayed one night in the Hotel Central during our travels in Corsica. The reception is located on the first floor. The staff is friendly and helpful. The has a fan instead of airco but we found this sufficient. Our room had a real stone floor instead of a (filthy?) carpet which is a super plus in our book. We...

I wrote this review 7 years ago and, having stayed again recently, not much has changed: "Perfectly located in the heart of the shopping area, a short stroll from the old port and central square but in a quiet and peaceful shady corner. Service was impeccible from the glamorous maitre d' with Irish connections to the traditional, diminutive head maid...
