Ok, so we stayed at budget hotels all over France this trip, but my husband's reaction was that this was a dump. Not quite that bad. I liked the wallpaper, new and stylish. The bed sheets were red and looked like something from the 70's. The door wouldn't close unless you locked it. Our friends' room had a perfumey smell...

This hotel is cheap and VERY close to the town centre which is what we wanted but that is kind of it. My partner and I felt it more like a hostel due to the layout and room quality. The owner seemed okay, he was not rude, but not polite, we had to make our own way up 2 flights...

The hotel is in a good location in a nice quiet street in the old part of town walking distance to the train station and everything else (Reims is not a large town ! ) The owners do not speak much English but they are freindly and professional. The room is smallish with a separate small bathroom, but quite adequate....

I found the Ardenn online, called and asked if a room was available for my expected days' visit. There was a room, and it was saved for me. No credit card necessary. They just held it for me. Simple breakfast, tea and biscuits. Room clean, sunny and warm. Very quiet during my days there. Good recommendations for places to have...

Rather than taking the risk of booking this hotel online we went there first to look at it. I was actually quite surprised, expecting the worst. I liked it and thought the hotel was great value. In fact I thought it was "quaint" and had personality - unlike other way too sterile/hospital-like hotels out there. I loved the colourful decor...

The only good thing about this hotel is the position. I imagine that this is what a small hotel was like in wartime France. It's drab, miserable, cold and you can't move in the so-called bathroom. The only reason I haven't rated it as terrible, is because the bedding was clean.

Chose this hotel because it was cheap, in a good location, and we were arriving late and leaving in the morning. Good thing, because it's not much good for anything else. Room was small, very basic, seemed clean enough, although shower curtain looked a bit old on the bottom. Obviously the hotel doesn't make much money because they don't even...

My daughter who had been staying in hostels, thought this hotel was great. I found it a little bit musty and it was very noisy the Saturday night we stayed there. The location is good and the bathroom was clean and it was definitely cheap.

I highly recommend Ardenn Hotel for a budget traveller in Reims. The location is superb to both the train station and downtown, and the street is silent at night. As you'd expect for a budget hotel, the rooms are simple and small, especially the little bathrooms, but totally clean and functional. Reception was perfectly friendly. Great value.
