The location is great since Ay is very near Epernay and Hautevillers. We really got to see the beauty of the Champagne region. The rooms were very clean and elegantly decorated. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Jean Marc and Ivana were very accommodating and helpful. Their English is not perfect but it was sufficient to communicate without any... More

We were looking for somewhere individual and unique to stay for the last few days of our trip. After reading the reviews it was clear Le Manoir fitted the bill and I have to say it didn't disappoint at all. Our room (secrete ) was beautifully decorated and really clean. Ivana and her husband were great hosts offering help and... More

FIrst, the B and B is not in Epernay, but is in Ay, which is just outside of Epernay. The hosts speak some English, were able to make dinner reservations for us, and give us ideas for day trips. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. There is a lovely garden on the property, and a... More

My husband and I stayed in the room 'Plenitude' for two nights and were very impressed. The room itself is elegantly decorated with a lot of attention to detail and impeccably clean. Ivana is a very gracious hostess and communicates quite well in English. The property is pristine - beautifully manicured lawn, flowers and a very charming garden house where... More

The "Manoir des Charmes" is a great choice for staying in the heart of the Champagne area. It is located in the village of Ay, 3 Km from Epernay. The Manoir is very charming and clean and the hosts are masters of hospitality. Very good breakfast with fresh croissants and pain au chocolate, bread and jams, real (squeezed) orange juice,... We stayed at Le Manoir des Charmes for two nights and wish we could have extended our stay. Ivana was an exceptional host as was her partner. We felt truly at home here and walked to our dinners each evening. Our room was extremely comfortable and well decorated. They even accommodated my gluten allergy and bought me gluten free bread... It would be hard to find fault with this charming B&B. Ivana and her husband are gracious hosts, and everything is beautifully appointed. Breakfast is served in an elegant solarium, and is a typical French breakfast of croissants, rolls, jam, cheese and ham, with the nice addition of fresh fruit. Our room was quiet and comfortable. The WiFi worked great,... More

My wife and I decided to stay in the little town of Ay during a self guided tour of Europe and we are very happy that we chose the Manoir des Charmes. Ivana and her husband are great hosts, telling us where to eat in town and what to do. Their English is also very good which was important since... More

Ivana and John-Marc are indeed charming as is the Romance room that we stayed in. Beautifully decorated with a comfortable, firm bed, big bathroom with good pressure hot water and adequate hanging space. What it didn’t have was a TV (who needs one of those), air conditioning (depends on the time of the year but it was 30+ in June... More

This is a hidden gem. We only discovered this through trip advisor and were hoping that it was everything the reviews had promised. It delivered and more. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, the breakfast is superb and the rooms are very well appointed and well kept (cleaned and fresh towels each day). We stayed in the Romance room... More
