First stayed here about 38 years ago, just after the hotel had opened and it was sobering to go back for a couple of nights last week and realise just how long ago that was..... In those days, it was the only 'modern' hotel in the city centre, but now it has plenty of competition, so why stay here these... More

Stayed here on a recent biking trip. Nice central location in Tours with a safe garage to lock the bikes in underneath that the hotel. Extremely comfy beds and a decent breakfast selection. Very reasonably priced and would certainly stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel tired at about 6pm, at the very least might have expected a "welcome" or a smile from the receptionist but we received neither, quite the opposite in fact. On the contrary the receptionist was sour, unfriendly and annoyed that we had arrived. I was interrupting her telephone conversation with her friend also. The rest of... More

A large comfortable room but no aircon. If we could have had a room with a balcony as booked this wouldn't have been a problem but the road outside was noisy all night. Easy to find with private secure parking. Basic but still excellent value for money. With generous breakfast which was better than many 4* hotels we stayed in... More

Was at this hotel as part of a bike tour. Hotel feel older, but is clean. It's very central to the Tours train station and the center of town. While the furniture was old, it was comfortable enough. Bikes were locked in the basement. Breakfast was included and was mostly a continental breakfast.

The Citotel Criden is about a 7 minute walk to Tours station. Check-in was from 3pm - but we arrived early at 2:15 and encountered no problems. Our room faced the road and there was some slight noise during the night (more white / background noise). One or two items needed attention - like a faulty shower head, but otherwise... More

This was booked for us by our bike tour company UTracks. We stayed here two nights, with a night at Azay le Rideau inbetween. It was easy to find as it on a main rue into town. They have a garage underneath where we were able to lock our bikes safely. We were 10 minutes walk from the magnificent Hotel... More

A great little hotel in the heart of the city. You are just a short walk from the old town, an even shorter walk to the station and a €17 taxi from the airport. The hotel was spotless, the staff were friendly, the room massive and the town is a delight. The bar in the hotel was very reasonable and... More

Much better than expected - could not believe was only a 2*. Lovely room, large enough for 3 of us, with a gorgeous bathroom. Breakfast was extra, but well worth it - delicious continental with hot croissants, breads, cold meats, yogurts etc. Were looked after by a charming gentleman who sorted a table for us outside on the terrace which...
