We drove up to the hotel and were surprised to find a shroud covering the whole front of the building except for the doorway, and a small sign that said Hotel Vendome. We actually thought it was closed. We had help with the bags which were brought up to our room and were shown where to park the car. The...

We stopped overnight at this hotel on route to the Dordogne recently and were pleasantly suprised at how nice it was. Yes there were construction works in place but it didnt damper our stay. We had the junior suite in the attic and i would definately stop there again if travelling through Tours. Lovely.

Please be warmed Hotel Vendrome has major, very unpleasant/loud, and unadvertised construction. Please beware: no construction work was advertised or made known by the hotel on booking.com or their website. Photos showing the extent of the construction are now uploaded under the photo section and current as of the afternoon of Thursday, May 2, 2013. There are many good reviews...

We stayed at this gorgeous hotel for 4 nights and would highly recommend it for anybody wanting to stay in Tours or the Loire Valley. We could walk to everything and were not too close to the station and the touristy crowds. We also discovered the most beautiful park in the street. The owners cared very much about our comfort...

Good location a few minutes from the town centre/Hotel de Ville and only a few minutes more to the old town(a must). Small outside seating patio. We opted for a junior suite which gives an extra couple of chairs, and more space but in the attic.Nicely decorated and comfortable. Downside was steep stairs if you have a large case and...

After spending the day exploring castles in the Loire Valley, it was wonderful to come back to a charming, castle-like room at our hotel! We had a great stay here - the owners were helpful, the room was adorable, and the reasonable rate fit our budget! No elevator, but the narrow winding stairs just added to the charm. Wifi worked...

I've stayied at Vendôme Hotel for one month (January 2013). I was there with six of my colleagues attending a masters in Tours. Mr. Dupuis, Mrs Mijane and Fred were amazing. The whole atmosphere was so nice. I actually felt like home. Definitively, I recommend Vendôme Hotel. You'll not regret. Cheers, Fábio Fonseca (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)

We stayed here for one night in Feb on our way back to Paris by car. We were pleasantly surprised for the price we paid. The room was charming, recently renovated and very comfortable (especially if you're into memory foam matresses). The downside was that it was at the top of three flights of VERY steep and rickety stairs, passing...

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It on a terraced street about a 5 minute walk from the train station, which is also where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. The rooms are a reasonable size, though ours had a very small shower cubicle, with a sink and a w/c and when sat on the w/c my knees...

On arriving, we realized that what we had booked was a one star hotel! Somewhat horrified, we entered the small lobby and climbed up the narrow stairs. What, however, turned out to be our double room (on the 2nd floor) was a classy, beautifully decorated, comfortable room with two big separate beds and a small (but fully equipped) bathroom. The...
