This review is long overdue, as these hosts went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful - even making a cake for our very early departure (thanks to a changed flight). The only negative may be having to drive to dinner, but the grounds are so lovely, that I could easily imagine wine and a picnic dinner of local...

Lovely and unique B&B in rural Loire Valley area. Rooms are all former limestone "caves" remaining from a former quarry. Very quaintly decorated, and very quiet/romantic ambiance. A bit damp, but to be expected given what they are, and quickly alleviated by the ensuite pellet stove. We had the Garden room, with twin beds and bathroom on main level, and...

Stephen and Celene are exceptional hosts and offer a unique B&B experience in the Loire Valley, in Beaulieu-les-Loches. They’ve built a lovely home of their own into a cave and have 3 separate, private entry "cabins and cave guest houses" for their guests. My husband and I stayed in “The Cabin” - a guesthouse adjacent to the caves. Our friends...

Let's start by saying the hosts could not be more helpful and pleasant. The traditional breakfast including the best (home made) yogurt I've tasted is excellent and our room - on this occasion the cabin in the garden - is well appointed and comfortable. We've seen the 'cave' rooms and they are superb. The actual house is worth a visit...

We had a great time! The place is quirky and beautifully done! It is something that you will never have experienced before....and that you should! It is comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and very special. The breakfast is delicious and inside the big cave. Plus the owners are the nicest people! Highly suggested.

First off, I'm apologetic that this review is 10 months overdue. That's me, always procrastinating haha oh well. You know you've found a special, enchanting place when you step into Les Troglos de Beaulieu. It was a cold night, but the warmth of our room, I mean cave, provided us with the much needed comfort. Everything was cosy, clean &...

If you're thinking of staying in or near Loches, don't miss the chance to stay here. Beaulieu is a fascinating village, within walking distance of Loches, just across the Indre, and Les Troglos is a really special place. We stayed in the Cabane, a snug wooden room with all the comforts anyone needs, and enjoyed our delicious home-made breakfast inside...

This is without doubt the most unique B&B we have stayed in. Two of the rooms are built into the stone cliffs, and the third one is a cabin. There were chalkboard signs outside of our rooms to greet us, with our names on them. Steve and Celine were most gracious. Celine is an absolute delight ready to share the...

Of all the places we stayed during our trip in the Loire Valley, France, Les Troglos de Beaulieu was the most lovely. Not only are the amenities on par with other hotels, but you get a real feel of the history of this region when you stay here.
