Impossible to get your car close. That has nice consequences as well of course. Friendly reception, owner speaks English. The standard room I had booked is on the 3rd floor. No elevator and although the stairs are beautiful for me with a slight handicap that is a climb. The owner was so friendly to take my suitcase upstairs but the...

Very old and interesting and brilliantly located for staying in Chinon. It was quiet but only a short walk into the centre. The room was basic but clean. Excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant was also very good.

that was absolutely the best budget place we stayed. You could just imagine for a moment that you are back in time, of course without loosing comfort of today. Clean room, with welcome tea/coffee on the table.

This was the third time we have stayed at this hotel and again we found the staff charming and helpful. The breakfast was good and the bed, a four poster, very comfortable. Yes, the parking was difficult and the wifi impossible to connect to in the bedroom, although the router was just outside, however the pluses were greater than the...

Excellent accommodation and beautiful appeal. No lifts up the 60 plus spiral staircase for the 50kg luggage, but thats all I have to whinge about. Everything else, briliant. Beautiful town, fascinating history, excellent service, comfortable room.

We were fortunate to find this restaurant while strolling around Chinon, Loire Valley France. The food was great - local cuisine - good house wine-good service. Husband and wife team, & they own the hotel, which looked nice. We were there with another couple. We felt the food was good, & the prices reasonable. Nice outdoor dining.

We loved this place - a room with a view of the castle by which we sat drinking local rose wine late into the night watching the world go by. Bed very comfortable, staff friendly and breakfast looking over the river. Loved the old feel of the place and definitely stay again.

Great hotel very centrally situated on Chinon's main street. good base for exploring this part of the Loire valley, and maybe indulge in some wine tasting. Comfortable bed, decent bathroom, very clean. A little old-fashioned perhaps, but that is part of its charm
