We were driving from the Ardeche Forest to Paris and needed a stopover fairly close to Paris; we have been to Auxerre before and thought an afternoon/evening here would be pleasant. We also needed secure parking so we didn't have to unpack the car (we had been traveling for two months at this point) and twin beds because I was...

What a great recommendation I have to give for this hotel. The rooms are fairly small, clean and nicely decorated. Ask for a room on the front of the hotel, as those offer beautiful river views. But it is not the hardware, but the staff which easily lifts this three star hotel into the four star category! They are ever-smiling,...

We booked this an hour before staying as we needed somewhere to stop over on our way to the Cote d'Azur. We found it very easily and its really central with great views over the river, there is a decent amount of parking at the back and the staff were lovely. Rooms are shabby chic style, lots of restaurants close...

My first time in Auxerre and this hotel did not disappoint. The room was tidy, clean and had all the amenities that one needs for a short stay. No coffee/tea machine or facilities in the room, but that shouldn't be a negative. There is a fridge bar in the room and air conditioning. Rooms are small and that is common...

We spent two nights in Auxerre on our way to a canal boat holiday with friends. It is very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The position is convenient just by the river although the band at the nearby outdoor restaurant was a bit noisy. In all a very pleasant stay.

In a great stop on the canal, in this beautiful traditional French town. Rooms were fine, no complaints. We had breakfast in the hotel for ease (there wasn't a lot open anyway on a Sunday morning) and there was plenty to choose from, including meats, cheese, fresh fruit etc). We stayed on the way back from the South of France...

Central on banks of river, comfortable but needing upgrading which is in progress. Room with air conditioning was small but adequate, with mini bar but no safe. Parking is in a public lot opposite the hotel, limited spaces behind the hotel which they charge extra for !

A bit old-fashioned but perfectly located and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet is good. If you get a room with a view of the river then it can be quite loud during the night.

On our 6th visit for one night enjoyed being back on the 2nd top floor facing the river Yonne with all its character and river boats. The hotel is a really good location from which to explore the historic centre of Auxerre albeit many of the old shops have now closed/relocated outside of the town's centre. Good to see that...

We had a pleasant double comfort room with a small balcony (not big enough to sit on) overlooking the river. It was located on the first floor (which has larger windows); the hotel has an elevator. The room was clean and quite comfortable. We were there in the spring so did not have the windows open, but did not hear...
