It was disappointing. The location is perfect, the hotel is nice and the staff is very friendly. But the bed was terrible, sinking and creaking at every one of my movements. And after a lousy night of sleep, breakfast was rather minimalist and average quality

Visited in August for my boyfriend's birthday. They knew it was his a special occasion because I spoke to the reception before we arrived to ask if there was anything I could add to the room. I was willing to pay obviously. They don't do room extras so that was fine, not a problem. However, they didn't even say happy birthday or anything. That said, they didn't even say anything more than hello, goodbye and thanks. They literally didn't even ask for my ID or to verify my details, at all. I could have been anybody who stole a bank card. Is fraud not a thing in Rennes? I also work in hotellerie in Paris and was surprised by the lack of attentiveness from the day staff. It was like being in a hostel. Aside from that, the room was great, super comfortable and bathroom amazing! Much bigger than Paris sizes. The location is perfect. The night receptionist was very bubbly, chatty and attentionné. Perhaps he should work the day?

We booked 3 nights in this Hotel in Rennes and it was honestly the perfect place to stay. It is in a very central location so easy to get around by foot. It is also close to the metro and bus station so it was easy to travel out of Rennes too. Very reasonably priced. Very clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast area is small but fitting for the number of guests. The food itself was good but there could have been more of a variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and mostly spoke English.

Location of the hotel is great. 15 minute walk to some big sightseeing places in the City, very close to the train station too which you can go to some seaside places or even to Paris. Hotel itself is very nicely decorated, wouldn't know how to describe it but the pictures on this site do it justice. The rooms are nice and clean too, maybe a little small but this didn't bother us as it was just a place to stay and not live in for a few days so all was good and well. Bathroom is more of a wet room which i thought was a nice feature too. Staff were very friendly and spoke very good English with us when I had exhausted the length of my French. We were offered the breakfast which we ended up going for on each morning, consisted of cheeses, ham, breads, pastries all the usual continental fare, was very well received by the wife and I. If I remember correctly it totaled about €20 for 2 of us each morning which may seem expensive but you would be hard pressed to find petit dejeuner for cheaper around the local area with it being a city centre. It was also unlimited/help yourself so you could eat your fill and we found ourselves not wanting to eat lunch everyday as we were still full from breakfast.

We loved our room. It was facing the street on the 4th floor, which I had requested. The view from the room was lovely. The location of the hotel is great for business or tourist explorations being so centrally located. We were able to get about to visit touristic, historical sites, as well as get some errands done within a few minutes' walk. There is also a very efficient and inexpensive bus service to/from the Rennes airport that is available right near the hotel. When in the city I don't mind "city noises." I like to leave the windows open at night and take it all in. Note that if your room faces the street and you leave your windows open, it can get a bit noisy from nocturnal passersby at odd times of the night. This didn't bother me, but if you are after a quiet night's rest, then you might want to ask for a room facing the courtyard. Breakfast was lovely-- a selection of cheeses, ham, breads, cereals, yogurt, teas, and coffee. The view from the breakfast room allows one to see people walking by from a cozy vantage point. The concierge couldn't be nicer. We found the rates to be quite reasonable. Highly recommend.
