We have spent a week’s road trip in Normandy and Brittany. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in during our trip. It is cosy, quirky and very friendly. The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms beautifully decorated. I would happily return. I love this hotel.

When we road trip we most of the time are not sure where we'll be. So on our journey we google hotels, B&B's, and this came up it was getting late. Well driving down the road your thinking I don't know, but then you pull in to this charming gem, with is plunge pool (we didn't have time to use it) and this place is also a spa (didn't have time to use it),,,beds comfy, no A/C, but was OK even for July, has a lift, free parking (not many spaces). We did the breakfast there not much to talk about. But all in all I would recommend this place

Imagine synthesizing a luxury resort, living in a tree-house, and eclectic ecological and cultured elegance to create probably the most charming and singular hotel experience I've had in years. When I say charm I should warn you this place oozes chic and hip charm. The rooms are impeccably decorated in a hybrid of contemporary and heritage elements to what can only be described as perfect taste. The themed rooms are next-level. The service is extraordinary. Your wishes are their command. They will spoil you. If you are looking for a unique way to dazzle your better half or just pamper yourself, run to Rennes and LeCoq Gadby. Oh and by the way, every piece is eco-friendly and every delicious morcel is organic; so relax into their plush escape and let your guard - the burden of your eco-conscience - down: this place is the real deal.

Arrived at Le Coq Gadby hoping to to have a lovely meal when we arrived - to find restaurant closed. Very hot, understood eco logic but shutters could have been left ajar for some breeze to be let through. Lovely plunge pool which was extremely helpful after a very hot night. Breakfast ok but limited choice. Hotel wouldn't be my first choice when visiting Rennes again.

Two days before my trip hotel has cancelled booking. It was impossible to find any other hotel in Rennes due to exhibition going on there. Without an explanation... Have managed to book hotel 70 km away from Rennes what caused great deal of extra expenses..
