The hotel is near the railway station. At 2 min walk you have cheap restaurant and a small supermarket. At 5-7 min walk you have acces to city center and nice food. Very easy to park the car near by. The rooms are clean and the break fast more than decent with fresh bread. At 60 euros what can you expect more ? Really good experience.
Hotel next door was full so as a traveller on foot didn't have much choice : pleasant staff but dark and dull ambience : no liftbut cheap! wifi only worked in lobby. cant comment on breakfast as had train to catch !
The owner of this hotel was initially reserved, but became very helpful and friendly, after a chat. The rooms were tidy and interesting. The four flights of stairs were a challenge. Gluten free cornflakes were a must here since the breakfast consisted of french pastries only, no fresh fruit or yoghurt.
Close to the train station this is a reasonable hotel but not great. The owner/manager was very helpful about local restaurants and all other requests but the hallways and stairs were dark and dingy. The room was clean and adequate and the breakfast, while pricey was good. In fairness we had just come from Vichy, a charming small town to Clermont Ferrand an industrial town on a wet day.
very small and very cheap. the staff (one man that seems to have multiple jobs) was very nice and spoke several languages. my room was very small and very basic, but everything was clean and OK. breakfast was tiny but there was plenty of coffee / tea. the "restaurant" / (breakfast room in fact - i was told they do not have a licence to serve other food than breakfast) looks very french and quite charming. location is (almost) central, very near to the rail station. if you are on a tight budget and go on a short trip to clermont-ferrand, you will not make a mistake to choose this place as it is clean and central, however, i d not think the rooms are inciting for anything more than to sleep and have a shower
