Staying 150+ night a year it takes a lot for hotels to stand out but this hotel does. Most of all the staff. SUPER-friendly and welcoming. it feels straightaway like they are enjoying themselves and actually enjoy interacting with guests. Helpful and chatty and happy to give any suggestions or explaining things. The rooms are also better then your regular Mercure and have a nice view over the square. No noise heard on the highest floor (not sure about others). Location couldnt be better for this city with parking opposite easily accesible. This hotel deserves to be nr1 in this town and hopefully management and staff keep it up like this!
We stayed for one night to break up a long journey and couldn’t fault the hotel. Cleanliness was excellent during COVID-19 time. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were large and beds very comfortable. Would definitely recommend
This is a very pleasant city hotel superbly located on the place Jaude, the central hub of the city. A short walk to the old town that’s packed with bars and restaurants, the Cathedral and a range of shops. Parking was a doddle at the local underground car park with a lift up to the hotel’s entrance level. The reception is above ground level and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a nice suite with a view of the Cathedral and Jaude square. The only down side were the bars in the square were full until the early hours so I needed ear plugs to sleep undisturbed; breakfast was good but I have had better. There were cooked eggs and bacon with frankfurter type sausages, mushroom and tomatoes with a good choice of breads and toasts. All the continental options were available too; our only bugbear was a coffee machine with pods meant small little portions and no hot milk for a hot café crème or au lait, and no boiling water for tea. Otherwise a great stay in a smart hotel in lovely southern-flavoured city surrounded by exceptional natural beauty and we had 30C + clear weather in mid-September.…
Stayed 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facilities, the care and most of all the friendliness of the staff. Centrally located, you can pretty walk anywhere. Clermont ferrand is a town with many historical monuments and site, and from the Mercure most are within walking distance. This was a pleasant stay. I would go back anytime.
The hotel was fully booked, but the management found a room for me: I had mixed up my booking date!!! It was my second stay in this hotel, and I will come back anytime. Amiable, and efficient, the staff is willing to go the extra miles to ensure that I was satisfied. The bar is friendly and has a large variety of beverages. My room was perfect and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The underground parking is convenient. Everything is right and for its central location, the hotel is not overpriced. Kudos to Adele for her professional skills.
