The rooms at this hotel are adorable! The beds are soft and the rooms large. The AC worked very well! The tub is slow to fill and very loud as it drains. The shower head is hand held only. Separate toilet room was very nice! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has no elevator, so you will...

Location could not be better - between the lazily meandering river 'La Vezere' and the cliffs of Les Eyzies with the National Museum of Prehistory - in the center of town, yet with an air of openness to a square and the river. While offering the usual modern comforts expected, Hostellerie du Passeur has a charming 'old world' feel and...

We booked this hotel on line, then had delay after delay on our trip to europe. We ended up being so late in the off season I was worried they wouldn't hold our reservation so I called. I spoke with one of the two Jerome's that run the hotel and they kindly stayed until 11 pm so we would have...

What a terrific little hotel! We stayed one night while in the area to visit the cave paintings, just at the close of the season in October. Staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. While there is no lift (don't stay here if you can't climb stairs), the clerk was eager to take our bags up the stairs......

We live in the area and have eaten at this hotel quite a few times now ... each time I am surprised and delighted, foie gras served as half a large (tennisball-size) ball with a monbazillac or champagne 'jelly' half, risotto with foie gras and gambas, foie gras 'revisite a ma facon' with three different types of foie gras (which...

Dinner on the patio beside the river, overlooked by a statue of Cro Magnon man from his historic cave above...life is tough. This hotel is well located with charm and comfort. Though our room was small and up three flights of stairs, it was comfortable enough with a great shower and well air-conditioned - a major issue in mid summer....

We were booked for one day, but loved the location and coziness of the hotel so decided to extend for two more days and use this as a hub for our travels around the Dordogne area. Jerome was outstanding and extremely kind and helpful during our stay. Cudos to Paul as well. Room was comfortable, clean, and twin room quite...

We had a great week at this hotel, using it as a base for exploring the region for the first time. The hotel is quaint and charming, with a friendly family feel whilst still smart and upmarket. The staff are friendly and the proprietor, Jerome, has an excellent sense of humour but still bends over backwards to please. The food...

The hotel has a great location close to the museum, the main street and the tourist information. Small rooms, but charming. Close location to the river, we had a swim! The food at the restaurant was very good. Confit de Canard was delicious!
