Les Eyzie is the "Prehistoric Capital of Europe" (self proclaimed) and Hotel Le Centenaire is located right in the middle of Les Eyzies. The Prehistory Museum- which is outstanding- is a 5 minute walk, as well as other sites, restaurants, shops, etc. Les Eyzies is not a large town, but well located for exploring the many prehistoric sites in the...

A lovely hotel, excellent dining room where we enjoyed a fantastic meal on our first evening. Unfortunately despite having a written confirmation that we would have dinner on the two nights of our stay and having confirmed this at check in we were told at 4 pm on the second day that they had decided to close the restaurant and...

I have stayed at Le Centenaire twice now over the past six months. I have been extremely satisfied with both stays. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nicely decorated in a traditional French country style. The food is delicious! Book a table at least once during your stay. If you're there during the summer months, bring...

Extremely well-located if you are off to see Lascaux or the several other famous caves in the area, this hotel has a grand past, a good present, and still-excellent restaurant. It was once "the" place to go. It now has competition, but remains a fine hotel. It also appears from time to time in the (addicting) Bruno series of detective...

we stayed here a while ago now, and always remember it as being one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. The service was superb, the food excellent, and the breakfast among the top three of my life! We had a nice suite brightly decorated with a nice bathroom. Over all an enchanting stay, we will 100% return to this...

We were 3 people, my father aged 85, my 12 year-old son and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in a room for 180€ per night. Although the price of the room for a 3 star hotel is not unreasonable, I think it's important to mention both the good and poor points of this hotel. To begin with,...

We stayed in a Superior room on the 2nd floor for 4 nights B&B in mid April which was the start of the season, so the whole town and hotel were quiet. We loved this hotel which far exceeded our experience of most 3* rated hotels and appeared very professionally run Likes *Superior room was good size with large bathroom....

We stopped here in Dordogne on our way to the Atlantic for 2 nights. Travelling with 2 children aged 9-11. The room was very big, actually 2 rooms with a door in between you could close. Positives: The children had their own toilet. Big clean bathroom. Nicely furnished. Very clean. Beautiful garden and pool with long chairs and umbrellas. Nice...

Don't let the old, sometime negative reviews of this place affect your thinking. It has been purchased and completely updated by a discrete but welcoming and attentive young couple over the past couple of years and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are good sized, nicely maintained and very comfortable, as are the large bathrooms. The location on...

This is a tidy, warm place to stay when visiting the caves in southwest France. Font de Gaume is a walk away on foot. The couple who run the hotel are friendly, helpful, and will try to help you with whatever you need. The wife of the couple made sure we got on line early enough to get tickets to...
