Came for 3 nights to explore the town - the hotel is close to the old town and a ten minute stroll from the river. Market day Saturday morning opposite. Breakfast plentiful. Tea and coffee in the room - had to pinch some milk from breakfast to put in the fridge to have with tea😇 used the small pool behind the hotel - nice temp in July and very quiet ✅ rooms ok and bed comfy - pillows a little on the small size for me but that’s being a bit picky. They arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport as there were none at the rank there. Very helpful 👏

Especially like the sports bar opposite for friendliness, we watched England thrash the Kiwis, and, blow me, the French supported us too, quelle surprise! Food in Bergerac excellent, but avoid the cervice joint by the market, that was disappointing.

Super family run hotel, helpful and friendly owners, the rooms were basic and sparkling clean, great location for the centre of Bergerac, lovely continental breakfast. We were a family group of 9 and would all definitely recommend this little hotel, would definitely return.

We stayed at Hotel de France for 3 nights, 9 of us aged 12 to 76! The hotel met our needs perfectly, it was very clean, comfortable and central. All rooms were well appointed, air conditioning, double glazing and electric shutters and had a balcony looking into the Street. The owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable advising us of places to visit. We would highly recommend the plentiful breakfast.

The charming Hotel de France is absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in Bergerac. Here the smooth atmosphere makes the difference. Everything evokes well being and nice feelling. You will appreciate a mix in modern and cosy design. Rooms were refurbished 2 years ago. They are very much comfortable and large enough with minibar, N'presso coffee machine, desk chair, 40" flat screen and air conditioning. Beds are very good quality along with other nice furnitures. It's clean everywhere. So cosy. Breakfast buffet is sweet & salt with many kind of croissants - bread - marmalades - many kind of cakes - fruits - ham - sausage - cheese - ...etc...  Hotel de France is the place to be. You will meet pleasant people as project managers - underwear top models - cyclists - sales engineers - nurces - lawyers - farmers - retirees - Her Majesty's subjects and other worldwide citizens... We lovely appreciate to be welcome with Amandine de France. This is her pleasure to bring you any advise to help visit and discover Bergerac and the Purple Perigord. With off course the unique southwestern accent. So lovely. As I stayed here as often as possible I can tell you. So cosy and lovely ! I am longing the day to come back and rest @ swimming pool which I have not discovered yet. (Refurbished in May). Last&least Very good location @ Place Gambetta, close to the big church .Notre Dame de Bergerac. Shops and restaurants are 5 minutes walk. Yours kindly. Karine and Ghis.
