Our large corner room was clean and quiet serviceable for an inexpensive 3 star hotel. While it was spartan and dated in its decor it nevertheless had some old world, small guesthouse charm about it that is very appropriate in Biarritz (the style is 1930's or 40's, I think). The bathroom was overwhelmingly old chunky white porcelain and white tiles... More

I wrote this poem using the feelings I had even several days after this stay and decided to put it on TripAdvisor to warn others. Do not stay here if you want to relax in this beautiful beach town. Yes, the rooms are great, but you have no privacy and are treated like a child. Here goes: Hotel Maison Garnier... More

Always a very warm welcome from Patrick & Joanne, who go out of their way to be helpful without being intrusive. Rooms are large and attractive, comfy beds, clean bathroom. Well located near shops, restaurants, bars, market, beaches. On a bus route and 20 mins taxi ride from airport. Hope to visit again soon.

This guesthouse was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay, with large rooms, a guest lounge with fireplace, and an excellent breakfast room where the owners serve breakfast and can give advice about the town. Everything is decorated in brown and cream tones; very elegant with some stained glass panels here and there. We would definitely stay here again.

This is, as many previous reviewers have pointed out, a charming hotel with nice and friendly owners. However, we would like to address some improvements that should be implemented asap: 1. Middle of July. Hot temperatures and an extremely noisy street outside that made open windows during the nights impossible. So why is the remote control to the AC deliberately... More

We stayed 4 nights here & we were very pleased.... From the airport to door in half an hour via bus -1euro fare & short walk. The very spacious room with a balcony was lovely (it also had a small fridge which was great) but most of all the care & attention from the owners was 5 star. The property is... More

Our first visit to Biarritz – which we loved – made more memorable by our stay at Maison Garnier - a delightful Art Deco style small hotel/home of Patrick and his wife in a lovely quiet location in the Halles area – close to the market and great bars and restaurants. Our room had a balcony and wonderful comfy bed... More

Loved staying here. We booked for two nights. Our room was big and very nice. Not too noisy outside either. Everything well within walking distance. Patrick was an excellent host and gave us a guide to some of the best places to eat.Breakfast was great with fresh squeezed juice, fruit and croissants to name a few. Lovely building and plenty... We stayed at Maison Garnier for two nights and had a wonderful stay. Very friendly and hospitable owners, bought fresh croissants and made freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfasts, and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Location was very convenient for walking to the market, and the beach nearby.

A lovely hotel in an ideal spot we had an excellent stay at this well situated hotel everywhere we wanted to visit was an easy walk and the best restaurant was just around the corner. The hotel is well kept with a period theme running through the place, I would definitely return and more than likely will.
