Piccadilly gardens is not the nicest area of central Manchester and the hotel price was reasonable so feared the worst. Actually pretty good. Nice staff. Room a bit small but nice big bed. Bathroom ponged I know not why. Breakfast very good and the restaurant has a lovely aspect. Beware when they say quiet side it just means less noisy...

We stayed here for one night in December. This hotel is in a great location right in the city centre. It's located just next to a major tram link and is a short walk to the Arndalel Centre. The hotel is underwhelming from the outside but clean and modern on the inside. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms...

Dated and tired hotel, small rooms, no double glazing making it very noisy. overpriced for what it is and overnight parking at £25 is a rip off. Overall look elsewhere. Really hard to find car entrance with tramway and one way streets, bus lanes.

Dear sdw1759 Thank you for taking the time to provide your review here on trip advisor following your recent stay with us. I am sorry to read that you found the rooms both tired and dated, here at the hotel we do have a continuous maintenance programme in place, I am sorry if this appeared not to be the case...

Just stayed for one night. Had a lovely stay. Check in was a little slow but the lady was polite and kept apologising for the delay. The room was clean and basic - okay for a city centre. My only issue was we were facing the Piccadilly gardens and could hear the trams beeping until quite late (about 12ish) but...

We stayed at the Mercure Picadilly and on arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who was very friendly. We were given a room on the 7th floor and although the decor was nice inside, the bathroom needed updating. The shower was over the bath and the bath itself was very small and looked grubby. The shower head was too...

The hotel is located right in the city centre - perfect for a trip to Manchester. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. Due to having platinum Accor status, I received a double upgrade from a standard room to a suite on the top floor. I also received a drink voucher for both myself and...

As a hotel the Mecure seems to be badly in need of an update - everything feels a bit tired and dated, and whilst there was not one thing in isolation which made me feel badly about my stay the experience overall is not one I will be repeating. On the positive side the staff were all helpful, enthusiastic and...

I stayed here on a business trip with a customer in December. I was very, very disappointed. This is meant to be 4* but no way is it. I am no hotel snob and if I get an adequate hotel at a really good price would give it a 5 star rating however the Mercure Piccadilly disappointed from the moment...

I had a fairly uneventful trip from London to Manchester. I had no concerns about returning to the Mercure Hotel, in Manchester, as I have stayed there a number of times over the last few months.
