At any B&B, there are only three things that I look for - the bedroom, the bathroom and breakfast. We couldn't fault the bedroom; spacious, proper hangers, a comfortable bed and high quality bed linen. In the bathroom, there were nice toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels, but a poor shower with low water pressure and inconsistent temperature was disappointing....

I am pleased I was able to respond to your comments in person on Sunday. It is our aim to offer the best quality and service and to be sensitive to guest comments. I am pleased you liked your room and bathroom. As I mentioned we are aware of low water pressure entering the building on occasions and are in...

Ideally situated, clean, cosy rooms, very friendly staff, quiet, though 10 minutes only from city center. Great pubs in the surroundings, Chorlton is most charming and very different from Manchester. Metrolink is 3 minutes away and connects to the center.

Our fourth stay, some time since our previous visit but the facilities and rooms were as excellent before. The self service continental breakfast is great for people who are not too good of a morning.

Thank you for your review. I am pleased you found that we are maintaining standards, we strive to improve all the time. Rooms 2+3 are at the back of the house. All rooms are double glazed though. I hope you had a better journey home than that coming! Heather

I stayed in the room at the top (you can see the window in the picture). It was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was sufficient and the internet connection was good. Easy connection into town by bus. Continental breakfast was fine. Something hot would have been even better though! It would be great if there was a common eating area...

We arrived to be greeted by our host Heather who showed us to our room, which is great. Dining area for breakfast settee and tv and a great selection of drinks, fruit and a very nice touch of some biscuits. Heather was very helpful in explaining the area and specific places we needed to go to. All in all a...

We were initially booked with Chancellors Hotel, after seeing it looked nice on booking.com. Then I had a look on TripAdvisor and did not like what I saw. I then came across Abbey Lodge on TripAdvisor and it looked ideal. We booked it on their website late on the Wednesday night and had a confirmation from Heather on the Thursday...

You stayed in Room 5, our 'standard' double room. The other two double rooms are Rooms 1+3, they are larger with more comfortable seating. The beds are the same and are all of good quality. I am pleased that you found this room suitable for your needs. We aim to make sure our guests are comfortable and have all they...

Relaxing comfortable stay again. Spacious clean room with tea and coffee and kit kats! Warm welcome on arrival and then you come and go as you please. Really like the idea of the help yourself breakfast to take back to your room. Will be the place to stay again when we visit family.

Really loved this B&B. The room was exceptionally comfortable, spacious, light and airy and had everything you could want. The help yourself breakfast was great, particularly as I was leaving so early in the mornings and there was a great selection. Sadly the water pressure in the lodge is very low and meant the shower was not much more than...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased you liked our B&B and were happy with the facilities we provide. I am sorry the water pressure into the property was low during your stay. This can affect the shower in one room in particular during periods of high use. We are doing what we can...

Visited this B&B in November, easy to get to from city center by bus which stops close by. The location was pretty near to the sports center that I needed to get to. The room was very spacious, with toilet and shower room en-suite . Clean tidy, great ornate ceiling, wonderful features. Kettle with tea, coffee etc in room. Self...

Lovely B&B in Manchester. We booked as we were going to a New Year's Eve party at some friends nearby. The room was on the ground floor but there was no noise from the roads at all. It was a nice big room with armchairs to sit on and fabulously large and fluffy towels to use! The Kit-Kats were a...
