Stay for two weeks for work holidays hotel is in very good location near to every thing wifi is very good staff are helpful specially maria on the reception. Only small issue was the main entrance door was tricky to Open will be staying again.
The room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities one could expect at such value. The location is excellent with a tram stop 2 mins walk away. The staff were very, very helpful as they were able to change the date of my holiday at short notice (blame Nicola Sturgeon!)
I first stayed here in 2013, the standard has declined. The housekeeping don’t do a great job with cleaning. The room did not have any clean soap in it. A used bar of soap from the previous occupant was left in the shower. In addition, there was some hair in the bed. Reception were friendly, but there was no senior management present when I complained. There is a service with a shrug mentality. Breakfast is not a buffet, due to COVID, and you must come at your allotted time. Coffee was poor. It might be worth paying a little extra to get a nicer place.
Check in was great, the lady was very polite & friendly and explained where the room was and about how to scan the card to work the lift and to get back in the hotel. The room was dirty when we checked in on the floors and near the window, I gave it a quick wipe as it wasn’t a lot but still shouldn’t have had to do that. We didn’t get a good night sleep because people were running up and down the hallways banging on doors and walls until the early hours of the morning and then the cleaner banged on the door then let her self in at 10am when check out is 12 which also woke us up as we only got to sleep on the early hours due to the noise. Overall not a great experience the only positive was the nice lady who checked us in.
Stayed overnight before an early flight from airport, online check in before i even stepped into hotel was simple. Simple case of short walk into city centre for food and a couple drinks, easy walk back after curfew kickout. Reception can rustle up a taxi in about ten mins, even at about 3:30am.
