Good value for money for this type of hotel, located close to all attraction. Clean, modern and quiet. Breakfast was cold and poor. I asked Emilijan if they have fried eggs and he pointed me the scrambled eggs pot in a verry rude manner. Other than that okay hotel...

With this hotel it's all about the location. The price for a Saturday night was £105, which is a bit steep for a sparse room with little comforts. But, it makes up for that by having a great location. 5 mins walk from Oxford Street station and right in the heart of Manchester for shops, restaurants and bars. The room...

Stayed over for one night for my husbands birthday. Being local I'd always wanted to stay here due to the Grand design of the outer building, I kinda believed inside would be pretty grand which I suppose it is if you are 5 years old. I had no idea the place had been turned into an ibis. The reception is...

The Ibis offered a warm welcome and much more. Nice staff throughout our two night stay and we were very impressed by the newly styled rooms. The bathroom is a it plasticky but roomy and clean. There was some noise from external fan motors until about 10.30pm each night but not bad for such a central hotel. Breakfast was a...

Why when they refurbished this hotel did they not address the problem of such poor sound proof from the windows. They got it spot on between rooms etc . Sorry just couldn't stay here again . Great breakfast for £8 and the two Spanish receptionist on checking in were very pleasant but not enough to return for

There were problems with on-line check-in, and a problem with check-out, but these were both resolved. Breakfast et this hotel is excellent for an Ibis. We had to ask for an extra blanket for the bed, which only had a summer weight duvet (4.5 tog). but it was cheerfully provided.

Overall I had a nice stay at the Ibis Manchester Portland Street hotel. It's central location was appealing to me. I was looking for somewhere central and at this busy time of the year I was happy to get a room here at quite short notice. I did think the price was a bit steep at £278 for two nights...

I needed a room for business reasons, but this coincided with the Manchester City European Cup match - so rooms were in short supply and very expensive. Stayed here as was going to the Cure concert at the MEN Arena. Excellent location. Modern yet quite basic room, but still comfortable and warm. Only negative was that the bar stopped serving at 10.45....even as a Resident, we weren't allowed another drink.😩 Continental breakfast was free and was plentiful. Will stay again.
