Staff are absolutely lovely however was kept awake by banging doors the rooms are not very sound proof apart from that the beds were comfortable and breakfast was lovely. The location is close to most clubs bars and restaurants.

Dear Ma_wee_chicken Thank you for writing a review of the Castlefield Hotel. I was the one who took the photos down (which were A4 sized with your photos and names on them) off the doors. As I explained to you at the time, it was for your safety I was doing so. As the photos would let everyone know who...

My girlfriend works in the Y club gym downstairs and from being around and picking her up and stuff, all the staff are lovely, they can never do enough, nice place, nice food , always got United on the Tv, Martina really does a good job of looking after the bar and hotel residents

Spent 2 nights at hotel on short theatre break. Conveniently within walking distance to the opera house. Staff relaxed friendly & helpful. Sink in ensuite badly cracked but we were immediately given another room on pointing it out. Rooms spacious & clean with king bed .We didn't book meals so no comment other than breakfast seemed overpriced & plenty of...

We stayed here overnight as we were going to see Bat Out of Hell - The Musical at the Opera House. It is very convenient and the Opera House was only a matter of minutes away. We used the Leisure facilities which were great. We had a drink from the Bar which was good and all the staff were excellent....

The Castlefield has lots of optional extras - a gym, a pool etc but we didn't use them. We just had room only as the breakfast seemed overpriced. We ate in an Italian cafe just off Deansgate and probably spent more but that was our choice. Our room was functional and comfortable and had all that we needed. Only criticism...

A hotel with spacious rooms & an excellent (free) gym & swimming pool. It is right opposite the Museum of Science & Industry & alongside the canal, with the waxi (water taxi) only a couple of minutes away. Deansgate is less than 5 mins walk, with shops, restaurants, cinema, bars etc. The free metro bus also runs down Deansgate. We...

Has pool and gym which we didn't have time to use but good to know they are available in the price. Good cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location Only...

This hotel has a large friendly reception area, it's position next to the canal network was fabulous. With such fine weather the local open air stage meant that local entertainers and circus school offered free entertainment in the evening. The hotel position is next to the science museum and some very good restaurants/pubs by the canal at the end of...

This 50 bedroomed hlt resembles a personality free corporate complex but the location and pool (open 6am-10pm midweek) for the cost make up for it. I would not recommend the bar food or the breakfast as this can be had for the same price but better quality elsewhere. The public spaces r energy sappingly drab and the rooms are average. Bed...
