I stayed here with a few colleagues, as it was cheap and centrally located. It's pretty easy to find and the location is good - especially if you're in Manchester for shopping. The building looks quaint from the outside and we entered via the pub downstairs - although we never stopped to have a drink there, the pub and its...

We stayed here for one night as we were going to the MEN Arena. Great location for the arena, just round the corner. Drinks pretty expensive, but it's a City Centre so wasn't surprised! Room was clean and over looked the cathedral. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was abit of a joke. It was a help yourself buffet. When I went to...

We booked this hotel very last minute! as we drove onto the M62 into Manchester, the price was excellent (probably due to being out season). The bar down stairs looked very modern and recently refurbished. We were directed upstairs to reception were we were met by friendly reception staff who booked us in and advised were we could get a...

Situated right in the city centre opposite Selfridges and next door to 2 great old fashioned pubs, overlooking the cathedral - it's the perfect spot for a low cost city break. We stayed in a triple room. It's got lots of character being an old stone building - sloping floors, old fireplaces, chandeliers and big mirrors in the lounge and...

We have just stayed at the Mitre Hotel and It's been great. The rooms are all acceptable , with some special rooms like room one which was very grand and perfect for a wedding suit or for people who want something a bit different. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay for my sisters wedding a most...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your lovely review. Your right, our location is second to non making us ideal for shopping, clubbing or going to gigs. Unfortunately we don't have a lift in the building as we are a listed building and planning permission is hard to acquire. However, we are always willing to help our guest carry luggage up...

Gem of a place at back of Cathedral in period surroundings with a warm olde English feeling. Stayed in room including own private facilities. Easy walking distances to locations of interest. Staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed at this hotel in December last year, upon arrival we were upgraded to the bridal suite which was a fantastic surprise. The hotel couldn't be more central, within walking distance from all amenities. Would highly recommend everyone to stay here when visiting Manchester.

I stayed here November 14 with 6 female friends and we loved it. No problems with being a same sex group. The location is amazing especially with the German market right outside the front door. Shopping centre was on the door step. Good value for money and friendly staff. I will be booking again next year around Xmas
