Myself and my Wife had a couple of drinks here on a Friday afternoon as we were staying in a local hotel. it is a pleasant Hotel/Bar with plenty of choice for both drinkers and eaters and the price seemed very reasonable. we were booked into a local Restaurant for lunch so didn't eat here but the food we did... Read the mixed bag reviews. Personally I think it's a nice place. Great locality. Nice welcome from reception staff. So far so good. Its a great place for a weekend.. right in the city centre near the arndale shopping centre. Will update at the end of my stay.

We chose this hotel because it was so close to the Manchester Arena (or whatever it's being called this week) and it is wicked close. Just across the street. That means it's also very close to the train station. Albeit the "wrong" station if you're traveling south, but hey, the Metrolink is back in working order now so it's fine.... More

Whilst this is not the smartest establishment in town it's quirkiness and excellent staff more than compensate, a shame the buffet breakfast is no more but have had my most memorable night out in manchester here courtesy of the singing night staff....try it

We needed a hotel and got a late deal for 2 of us from Laterooms.com. Found the hotel to be clean and presentable. Family run as well so they strive to make your stay a pleasant one. Beds were not the comfiest and there's no parking with it being a city centre B+B above a pub. Having said that there... More

Stayed here when going on a night out in Manchester with friends. I had looked for hotels all week and most were £40 minimum so when I found this on LateRooms for £25 I was delighted as booked after reading the good reviews. Staff are very friendly and the whole place has an excellent feel. On arrival you are given... More

This is a lovely hotel of excellent value within it's price range and it has lots of character clearly very old and quite quirky, it will not be popular with those who like sleek modern hotels but will be for those who like characterful places staffed by knowledgable local staff. The room is beautifully decorated and modernised. Staff were very... More

I have stayed there with my fiancee, we were given a room with three beds which is not a problem, however the heating was off and all the windows open as well as smell of smoke was lingering in the room. The rooms are "refurbished" however in a sense that bright eye hurting colours plastered over old tired furnishings. You... More

I booked a single room in this hotel for a recent business trip. I was actually given a family room, (room 23). The room was clean and with a double and single bed. Lovely corner room with lots of light. The usual tea/coffee making facilities but with mugs rather than the small cups you get in many hotels. Breakfast was... More
