The hostel is at Potato Wharf within walking distance of the city centre. Facilities are good. There is a guest kitchen, also meals are available at the bar. The staff are pleasant and helpful. This is very much a family hostel, a lot of families with children stay here.

This is a friendly hostel with free parking for those staying overnight. Good facilities and a bar. There are good restaurants nearby for those who do not want hostel food or who do not want to self-cater.

I stayed at the Yha Manchester in November. Pretty much unfaultable experience. Staff were consistently freindly, breakfast good value, pleanty of amenities that any traveller would need and reasonably centrally located. Biggest selling point is its recent refurbishment. Everything you see, look at and touch is modern, clean and well appointed. Seriously, the foyer areas are more 'artistic hotel' than...

the hostel is in a very interesting part of Manchester, and is a walk away from Deansgate station, passing by some Roman remains. Lovely hostel, good food, hope to visit again for longer and see more of the city

Very clean and spacious. Quite far from the centre of town but fine if you don't mind walking. Reasonably proved menu at the bar but not many alternatives near by. Kitchen and laundry available. The beds were comfortable and the staff were nice.

I was very happy to stay at YHA Manchester, booking and check in was easy, and the room clean and well furnished. The bar was good and in the morning breakfast was excellent. We checked out easily and found the hostel was well placed.

I booked 4 nights so I could attend a training course without having any extra hassle. My experience of a Youth Hostel was 35 years out of date! This one has books and games, a bar and arm chairs! Sharing a double bunk room is always an interesting experience - you learn things about real people! When I accidently locked...

A modern, well designed YHA with lovely views of the canal waterways, great cooked breakfast, soup and cake. Close to The Hilton with superb views at the bar on the roof and the Science and Industry Museum. Only thing that lets this down was a member of staff speaking about customers negatively behind their back in the kitchen which was...

Thank you for your review, we're pleased overall you enjoyed your stay. We're disappointed to hear our staff were overheard in the kitchen and we agree this is unprofessional and it's certainly not how we would expect our staff to behave. I have shared your comments with the team to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Rooms were clean, facilities were good, front of house looked great! But "en suite" bathrooms were prefabricated cubicles and it was impossible to shower without wetting the entire bathroom floor. I also had all my (labeled) food stolen out of the kitchen during my last night. I understand that this is not the staff's fault but when I reported it...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we're sorry to hear your food went missing from the self catering kitchen and are as disappointed as you are that guests have not been able to respect other guests property, please rest assured that this is the exception rather than the norm. I hope you'll reconsider staying again and...
