I know others moan about the slightly tired interiors but whilst not exactly a selling point they don't detract from a well run, friendly establishment with a superbly quirky central location. It's like the Tardis, you swear that a sizeable hotel can't possibly hide behind the modest doors leading straight off the pavement, this adds to its old school charms.Throw in a great free...

Lovely hotel in great central location. Really clean. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a room with a four poster bed and we were more than happy with it. We will definitely return here and would recommend it to anyone.

Booked here as we were watching a show at the arena. The room was small but fine for 1 night. Clean and had everything we needed but the bathroom needs redecorating. We only paid £40 for a double room so can't complain at that! Never ate here so can't comment on the food.

Basic hotel but with very helpful staff. Rooms a bit tired but full facilities. Breakfast was very good. Central location. Good for one or two nights. If you are very fussy then pay x2 and go elsewhere.

This hotel has a central location near Picadilly Station but is tucked away so slightly difficult to locate. The hotel is in need of urgent refurbishment as it was quite tatty and run down. The staff are friendly and helpful. I did not eat here so can't comment on the restaurant.

Location of hotel is perfect - center of Manchester. Almost everything you would like to visit in Manchester is on walking distance from hotel. Staff is kind, friendly and ready to help. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pillows are too small, but you can ask for additional ones (as we did). Heating in room could be better (we kept it...

I was given a windowless small room on first floor. The radiator was set at the hottest setting and setting the dial at coolest was not having any effect on the radiator temperature. I complained at the reception to change my room or get the heating fixed. I was told that hotel is fully booked which was a lie as...

Lovely hotel, great location, decent room, really good value and excellent breakfast in bed! The wifi was extremely slow, hopefully the hotel will fix it as it was completely unusable. Also, there were no recycling bins. Otherwise, a great hotel and highly recommended.

The hotel is located not far from Piccadilly railway terminal where one can take a train to airport, as well as from stop of tram to Old Trafford stadium. Continental or English breakfast may be served. We stayed in room 125 - small dimly lit room with window to courtyard so curtains were closed during whole stay. One more hook...

Little basic but very clean, comfy beds and pillows. Paid £50 for the night and really can't grumble at that. Very friendly and helpful staff, the only sticking point I have is that the shower isn't great but I would definitely stay again
