Stayed for 3 nights with my partner as a little trip away after working throughout the pandemic. Chose this hotel following good reviews and alot of research. This is a lovely hotel but there does need to be some improvements. Pros: - Beautiful hotel - Close to shops/restaurants/bars, we walked everywhere. - Adhered to covid 19 restrictions Cons: - It is evident that reception staff treat older people with more respect than younger couples (we are 25 and 29). Although, the restaurant staff were the so lovely. - Air con needs improving. First night, air con did not work and windows do not open (for safety purposes), so we asked to be moved as i was finding it very difficult in the heat, the air worked well in the day in this room but collapsed in the evening and again, very very hot (it was colder outside than in the room) so we moved again, they moved us to a disabled room which sadly did not have a bath but the air con worked well in this room - Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for room service to arrive on a monday evening, they brought the wrong food so phoned to ask (waited 15 minutes on hold), then correct food arrived 30 minutes later after my partner had already eaten. Although, they gave us a complimentary pepsi and large glass of rose due to it being double ordered for another room and not required. - All rooms had unpleasant rooms due to that side of the building. overall, it was a lovely stay but the main things is how staff treat you, really was upsetting and the air con does need improving during this heatwave.

Room OK, breakfast average. Bathroom small and no handles to help you get out of the over bath shower. Wardrobe space was a joke, Check-out, still not had my bill e-mailed as promised. The worse thing about this stay was an incident in the bar at about 10.30 on Monday evening. A vert drunk man made some abusive and threatening comments to a young couple sat just in front of us. The bar staff did not deal with this and the abuse got worse and nastier. I was told that the Hotel has no security after 10pm on a weekday! This Hotel is not safe, do not stay there

We came for a overnight stay in Manchester from Scotland and the welcome was lovely! The room is stunning no complaints:) The bar staff Seydon worked super hard he was run off his feet but still had high spirits and was happy enough to create us three different cocktails with enthusiasm! He really was the star of the show myself and my fiancé enjoyed his cocktails and energy! Natalie & Alessandro. X
