Had Afternoon Tea in the Glasshouse Restaurant today. It was really good value for money. The sandwiches were of a good selection. The savoury pastry was really tasty. Our waiter, Lee was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again.

Our first time visiting Manchester and wanted a decent hotel. We booked a junior suite for our 2 night stay. 3rd to the 5th August. On arrival the check-in process was efficient and dealt with by a very capable young lady who was in training although she was perfect. The room itself was I'm afraid to say, very dated and tired. Saying that, it was very clean apart from some carpet stains. Spacious, although a strange shape it was suitable for our stay giving excellent city views. The bathroom was spotless and gleaming. Breakfast was buffet style and I can honestly say, I'm always disappointed but not here. The choice was a good traditional full English with quality products. Better still, it was piping hot to. The choice was plenty and the selection of juice, yoghurt and little pastries was ample. We will definitely stay again mainly because our experience of the staff friendliness was great. The location itself was ideal and as we walked everywhere, this gave us the opportunity to explore the city. Thank you to all the team

Very nice modern hotel in Manchester. Our room, on the 6th floor, looked out over the Mackie Mayor and Ancoats. Considering where we were, we didn’t get any street noise, so slept very well. This standard room had two double beds- useful for families, and very comfortable. Efficient air conditioning- got the room to the right temperature, and kept it there. It was nice to have a separate bath and shower in the bathroom, but the shower stall was rather small; an option to have a shower over the bath would be nice. Good toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was very delicious; full buffet with quickly replenished hot food; great orange juice!

Disappointed with stay here, lots of examples of lack of attention to detail, not clean, not good value for money. Expected better. Hallways and staircases dirty and needed hoovering. Bedrooms (see photos) splattered walls, kettle dirty, had to wash cups before use. Wouldn’t use crowne plaza again.

Dear 'laura112016' Thank you for taking the time to provide your online review following your recent stay with us in the heart of Manchester. Needless to say, I am most concerned and embarrassed to learn of the poor standards of cleanliness you report experiencing from your visit. I have spent time reviewing your understandable concerns with my Housekeeping Manager, who wishes to be associated with my sincere apologies to you and we have instigated retraining to address the areas you highlight. Thank you, once again. Jonathan
