I am fortunate to be able to combine business, rest and relaxation in the Cotswolds -- and have found the place to be is the Charingworth Manor in Chipping Camden. Close to Broad Camden and a short trip to Stratford on Avon as well as other Cotswold venues, Charingworth offers fine accommodations, an exceptional High Tea, a fine breakfast and... More

Overnight stay for a birthday celebration. Last minute booking as previous booking had let us down. Hotel lived up to its reputation. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Rooms were superb, all you need plus king-size bed. Afternoon tea very pleasant and well served. Dinner was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed by us all, with excellent service (sorry cannot remember the... More

We have just returned from a weekend at Charingworth Manor, we were made welcome from the moment you walk in, relaxing lounges, nice open fires and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was the Masters which was in the annexe, it had French Windows onto a small patio with gorgeous views overlooking the valley. There was a noise from... More

Charingworth Manor has always been one of our favourite hotels, but this last visit we were really disappointed with the standard of our accommodation. We had a 2 night stay, from Sunday 23 October in a deluxe double on their Autumn special offer. When getting ready for dinner I noticed that there was a lot of mould, plus the extractor... More

Very impressive hotel. We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff who advised us straight away that we had been upgraded to a superior room. Our room for our short stay was very large with excellent storage, large bed, large television, a really great bathroom with a hot shower, a large bath, and best of all plenty of space for... More

Lovely setting and beautiful old manor house. Satnav took us to Charingworth village in which the manor is situated but from which there is no access. So stick to main road until you see the signs for Charingworth Manor itself. Excellent afternoon tea served in the drawing room. Choice of leaf teas and choice of sandwich fillings followed by scones... More

This is a fabulous cosy hotel, with log fires, amazing staff, particularly Annette, fantastic food, the lamb is adorable and I dare you to have the home made bread and butter pudding with clotted cream...so gorgeous. We stayed in Room 7 which is a suite, very nice wonky room, fairly cold, but that is expected in a building of this... More

Dear Guests Thank you for your kind comments about your room and the staff here at the Manor. I'm sorry you found our bar pricing to be extortionate, we do monitor our bar pricing regularly and I have just checked similar four star hotels in the area, for the ½ litre of ale priced at Charingworth at £5.50 pricing varies... Jeff and his team were great. Dinner and breakfast were both wonderful. The location is good and close to a lot of other good pounds in the Cotswolds. The breakfast staff set up or breakfast in the morning in front of a roaring fire, it was a really nice touch.

The Afternoon tea was very good, served by very professional team. The accommodation was good but, too expensive for the offerings. The pool was closed for repairs, but the reception staff did say that they informed the booking website.

We chose Charingworth Manor as it looked like a lovely hotel for a couple of days away walking in the Cotswolds. It was great to be able to take our dog with us too. Spacious and well equipped room with direct access to the well tended grounds. We brought our dog's crate with us so she could stay there while... More
