Stayed overnight for our wedding anniversary and had a great night. The staff are lovely, mentioning no names 'Anne'..... !! All staff were very polite and attentive and the fillet steak in the Crab & Moo restaurant was delicious.

The pictures on booking.com looked great. The entrance and ground floor areas are lovely, this is where it ends I'm afraid. The room was tired, dated, carpet was dusty in the corners and a used bar of soap in the bathroom. The hotel is next to a busy roundabout, the rooms have no secondary glazing so the noise is unbearable....

Unfortunately despite a very nice lobby and restaurant our room on floor 2 wasn't very clean. The beds were very small. There was dust and dirt on most things. The walls are quite noticeable half painted and all in all it was just uncomfortable and unclean.

Ideal location for the races and a great starting point if you'd like...

Having looked at the reviews online I was slightly curious about where I was due to be staying while away on business. But when you get inside and into your room you soon start to see what a hidden gem this place is. Yes it's a little dated but it's a listed building and I think people don't understand that....

Took my girlfriend for a birthday meal. After tens minutes of picking what to eat we were then told they didn't have certain things on the menu. This resulted in us not ordering a starter. We did order chicken skewers only to be told they ran out of hot sauce also. The mains we did order were nice, ordered the...
