Lovely fresh sandwiches and scones with jam and cream were the highlights of this tea. And the Proscecco of course. And the beautiful surroundings. It felt very special, except we had no table cloth while surrounding tables did. The attentiveness of the waiting staff left a lot to be desired. A pair of staff, in suits, was standing nearby talking...

My husband and I stayed at the Earl of Doncaster for a dance weekend. It was an ideal venue because of its amazing decadant ballroom. The hotel is retro, inspired by the roaring twenties. The bedroom was large, modern with a hint of 20s style, airy and clean. Lovely bathroom with a walk in shower. The restaurant was beautiful with...

A quick 1 night stay over Easter booked on booking.com website . Excellent car parking at the rear of hotel and in a great location 10 mins walk into town or to the racecourse . Art Deco style which seemed a little out of place and over the top in Doncaster , but perhaps perfect for the St. Leger and...

We stayed in Room 401 and it was very attractive. Lots of room, lovely bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Could have done with blackout drapes as the light did come through the blinds. The Room Service was excellent and the food was lovely. Will definitely stay again.

Visited this afternoon with friends, was excited to see how the afternoon tea had been interpreted for Alice in wonderland. Unfortunately the actual hotel was more impressive than the food. There was such a large selection of sweet items and few sandwiches, we were given more when we asked. All the scones were plain too? The service was nothing to...

Fabulous afternoon tea sandwiches were different colours with lovely flavours. The cakes biscuits and scones were also full of flavour and in keeping with the theme. Best of all was the service friendly professional and nothing was too much trouble.

Just as impressive- now aware that rooms can be different but not in a bad way- modern or old fashioned. Restaurant still 1930s style(?) of deco but food is substantial and well presented. Breakfast top notch but I personally thought the full English disappointing by their high standards- came very (suspiciously?) quickly and looked like it had been warmed up-...

The art deco style of the hotel and restaurant is lovely and the atmosphere of the dining room in particular is quite special. We dined there Saturday evening, and what we thought let the dining area down was the lack of some sort of dress code, three quarter length jeans and tea shirt, and general scruffy dress of most of...

Nice hotel with the rooms & bar/restaurant nicely decorated. 5 minutes from Doncaster Race course we stayed here for this reason. Friendly attentive staff, we dined at the restaurant and enjoyed the meal, would definitely stay again if back in the town. Only downside the water in our bathroom wasn't particularly 'hot' which was a shame as the wet room...
