Management needs to reflect. What organisation would allow their entire first team to go off on a Christmas jolly (in February, but that's another matter) and leave the restaurant in the incapable hands of some rather embarrassed (if friendly) reserves? Having read some great reviews we had high expectations. Always a mistake to build up your hopes. We should have...

Thanks for your feedback, and moreover thanks for your advice on how we should conduct our Christmas party. As a hotel and restaurant we are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and our team work incredibly hard all year round providing the great food and service that we have become known for. It's common practice in the...

Hi Elaine, I'm sorry to hear this visit wasn't up to scratch - can you please let me know the details of the problems you had and I'll look in to them? My email is manager@tollhouseinnlancaster.co.uk You'll also be pleased to know that all our bedrooms are getting a refurbishment in July, so hopefully you'll be back to visit us...

We have stayed here twice now and have had fantastic service both times. The staff are friendly and attentive. On both occasions the Resturant was fully booked, but it was no problem to eat in the bar area, which is also lovely. The food was amazing - definitely try the pies! We also asked if our son, who lives in...

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip, in room 20 on the second floor. I was greeted and given my room key quickly along with some fresh milk for the drinks in my room. The itself room was compact, but was not missing anything in my opinion. (It had a shower to die for) considering the room...

We live very close to the Toll House Inn and we have used it for a casual evening drink, a long lazy lunch, a family / friend evening meal or even breakfast as a non-residence. The food is always of a really high standard and there is plenty of choice. The staff are helpful and friendly. The décor is traditional...

We visited this inn twice over the last couple of days whilst visiting a poorly relative at the Royal Infirmary. The first visit was a coffee and a latte - both absolutely lovely and served by very accommodating bar staff. The fire was on and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The second visit was in the evening, with family,...

I took my parents here and we had a wonderful time. The service was great and friendly and the food was gorgeous. The food portions were really good and had lots of meat in the dishes. Lovely interior also! Not a single complaint and can't recommend enough!

Myself and husband stopped for lunch whilst Christmas shopping! I have to say although all home made and freshly cooked, the food was very bland. I had the pork and apple burger and to be honest it was tasteless. I was really disappointed as was my other half with his meal. Probably wouldn't eat here again in a hurry.

Thank nutz31
