We booked The Barns as we were seeing a show at the NEC and were pleased with how close it was. Although we arrived an hour earlier than check-in time, and struggled to find anyone around, the owners daughter appeared from a barn after a while. She was unsure what to do and went to phone her mum. She came...

A well situated b&b on a working farm very close to the NEC but in a lovely village . There is a great village pub a very short drive away serving good pub food and a choice of real ales if you are not driving ! . Very pleased we found it

Following some of the earlier comments, Keri and her breakfast team are indeed pleasant, but this cannot overcome some of the problems at the Barns. Regarding high ceilings and cobwebs, this is partly understandable (my old and high up TV was thick with dust), but there were cobwebs on my bathroom wall; it is worrying when the owner cannot organise...

I failed to get the B&B that I wanted and was fortuneate to get booked for The Barns, which is approx 1 mile from the NEC. As per the description it is a converted barn with a number of letting en suite rooms. The bed was hard but this may suit some folk. It was clean and tidy...ish and came...

When my husband & I arrived at the b&b there was no one there when I rang the owner she said she was at the supermarket she gave us the gate code so we let ourselves in, when we got into the room we noticed that the bath was full of water and that there was a plastic cup lying...

The problem re the bath was explained to the guests who arrived much earlier than indicated - It had been filled with water and cleaning agents to remove 'speckled' effect left behind by the previous evenings guests. They seemed understanding and that it wasn't a problem! Re the cobwebs - This room has particularly high ceilings (barn conversion with original...

I so wanted to be positive about this place, especially after the friendly owner rang me before I arrived explaining that she had to go out urgently and that I may have to wait to get in (although this is actually her problem, not mine). When I finally did arrive and pressed the entrance Bell three times and, getting no...

Lovely hosts and a great B&B. Breakfast lovely, you can tell them the time you want to eat. Very comfortable family room - could do with dusting the cobwebs but don't let that put you off, we would definitely stay again. Big fluffy towels warmed on a heated rail. Not far from NEC.

We stayed here as it was the nearest available to the NEC on a late booking. Took a bit of finding, but were greeted by the lovely owner, Keri. The room was disappointing as it was in urgent need of a refurbishment, with wonky light shades, a 12inch tv which could have been on the 'Antiques Roadshow' and the odd...

We stayed at the barns last evening for one night. We arrived at 5.30 was shown to our room. There was a broken TV under the dressing table, this had been there a while as it was covered in dust. The TV on the wall bracket was antiquated fuzzy viewing and old. I had a shower and the shower head...

Umm had a one night stay after visiting NEC, found place eventually, was welcomed (exagerated ) by an elderly lady, told this is your room , have you been before (no) so here is the breakfast room then she disappeared. No leaflets around about the area, where to eat etc. no residents lounge so wondering where to go, eventually found...
