Stayed here over the Medieval Festival weekend, great character hotel. I have to say though our room was very basic and poor, if you ever stay here don't stay in Room 40 on ground floor. Staff at hotel were great and very friendly and breakfast was plentiful just a shame our room let it down. Location great as well in... More

I was only using the Hotel to rest my head between two very busy days. The hotel allowed me to check in early before heading off so that I didn't have to struggle with bags in the early hours. They knew I had to be up early again and in the morning when I went across too early for breakfast... More

Had dinner here one night while on a business trip in town. Ordered the hamburger which was really good and meatful. Small place with a lot of people and a good atmosphere. Did not stay here so can't say anything about that.

This was a hotel in an old atmospheric building with level floors an option. It was a cheap stay and thus I was not expecting much, but a clean pleasant bathroom and a good breakfast justified the price. A pleasant pint in the beer garden added to the experience.

Dropped into this hotel as it had been booked for me. I was really impressed with the hotel itself and the staff were really friendly! The food was good and the ales on tap were awesome! The room was clean, tidy and very nice, big king size double with a lovely view over the river Avon. I'll be requesting to... More

Nicely furnished hotel with comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms, clean and tidy. ell-located in a nice part of the High Street within waling distance to everything you're likely to need and some great restaurants e.g. the Boat House (not go be missed! It's fabulous and great value). There are rooms where the wifi doesn't work and whilst one staff member thought... More

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend break. The hotel is full of character low beams and sloping floors, absolutely delightful. The main public areas could do with a bit more of a clean but the room was spotless. The food was very good, the steak and kidney pie the best I have had in a long time. The staff... More
