We popped up to MK for Snozone and the National Museum of Computing and snaffled this booking, as the hotel was ideally located and pretty cheap. We were delighted - the staff couldn't do enough for us (sincere thanks to the helpful, friendly duty manager and the lovely lady doing breakfast), the food (evening dinner and breakfast) was lovely and...

Can only give one star for the waitress serving dinner Thursday eve and food, both which were fab!!! . English inns seriously need to take a look at this hotel and website which show beautiful rooms. If you get put in coach house or courtyard rooms run or ask to be moved which we did much to the disgust of...

Visited with my daughter for lunch. Ordered medium rare steak with garlic butter and a lasagne. Steak arrived 'very well done' and only ever so slightly warm (but not warm enough to melt the pat of garlic butter sitting on top of it). Sent back to receive a steak where fat had not been rendered (yuk!) and this time there...

We visited on 9th April as a family for a birthday meal and had previously had a good experience of this establishment. However after today's visit we will not be returning. The Nacho starter sharer is not a sharing dish in comparison to other places. Our mains took over 1 hour to arrive after our despite there only being only...

The Cock hotel in Stony Stratford is well placed, it is an old coaching house, and some of the old customers are still there, the old part of the hotel is a little rickety, with squeaky stairs, but this adds to the experience. The food served in the dining room and bar is very good, but the coffee at breakfast...

Stayed here for one night and it was very cheap (£45) and that should of alerted me! The whole place is very jaded and on the edge of falling apart. Poor decor, shabby rooms and a feel of everything being run into the ground. The shower in my room was scalding hot with no way to regulate it. There was...

I arrived exhausted, hoping to be able to pick up my key and rest. Nope. Nobody on reception. After 10 minutes I went looking for staff; finally found staff in the bar. Finally attracted the attention of one of them (the other completely ignored me). She was obviously irritated at having to check me in - barely polite, certainly not...

One half of the famous "cock n bull" folklore located at Stanley Stratford ? Arrived on a bustling Thursday night and we're lucky to grab a table and then some well deserved ales ( actually i lie ... ales first and table second ) Great historic atmosphere and typical English pub banter. Must be popular with all the locals too...
