This was such a pleasant surprise in the middle of Old Town Swindon. The 3 course meals we had for £17.99 were gorgeous and very good value for money. The decoration and atmosphere were lovely and it was a nice, quiet place to enjoy a meal and some drinks with friends. We went mid week which is typically quieter and...

went for a night out and ordered a cider, pointing to the Rekorderlig, but received a different brand. When I asked for it to be changed (saying I would pay any difference), I was met with a blunt 'no, it's what you asked for, it has been poured now'. I was very disappointed about this so questioned it, however I...

When visiting Swindon Old Town we always treat ourselves to breakfast ,so last week we had breakfast at the Kings. It was like Faulty Towers, no one was serving and when two members of staff arrived it was for each to tell the other someone was waiting. There was several people drinking coffee and a couple eating breakfast so we...

The Hotel was a beautiful, well kept hotel. we visited on a business trip to Swindon and from the reception to the bar staff it was a pleasurable experience. My colleagues complimented the breakfast in the morning. My only bug was that the mattress in my room (room 31) was not the most comfy and i had springs digging into...

Both the Restaurant and the Bar are excellent well-run favourites within this long established Hotel in Swindon's Old Town. The Bar is well stocked with local Brews and a very wide variety of Wines and Spirits. The food, whether you eat in the Bar or the Restaurant, is of excellent quality and value, with service and friendship to match! An...

This hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the main street of Old Town where all the bars, shops, clubs and restaurants are. There is a function room upstairs, a restaurant, a hotel and a club in the evenings. If you aren't planning on clubbing, I would suggest staying somewhere else, as it's quite noisy until the early hours...

Located in Old Town, although it is a large building the place is quite cosy. We went there for breakfast. It was all right but nothing special. Service was a but too relaxed and slow...although very friendly

Due to a large group shamefully letting the restaurant down with no communication whatsoever on Friday, our group of 5 were unbelievably the only people here. I have eaten here 3 times now and cannot fault the food, value for money and personable service. The dining room is sweet and good to sit and chat. You have to order all...

Despite it looking quite inviting, the Carvery put on here leaves a lot to be desired. The selection is wide but most of the choices do not meet the standard you would expect. Both the beef and the turkey were dry and chewy, most of the veg was over cooked and too soft. The honeyed parsnips and the gravy were...
