We stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter bank holiday weekend. I would never stay in this hotel again. It was very run down and in need of a full refurbishment. The standard of the breakfast was also very poor. The fried eggs were very runny and the bacon was full of fat and over cooked. We were woken...

I am told that there are some refurbished rooms in the Hotel. The rooms I have stayed in are in a very poor state as is the rest oft he hotel. The lift was not working during the duration of my stay - a bit of a problem for elderly guests, I would suggest. And how long does it take...

Dismal hotel. Incomparable to the Hallmark hotel across the road. My room had a broken toilet roll holder, so no attempt was made to fix it. Roll was just placed elsewhere. Everything about this place just screamed rehabilitation or hostel. It just isn't fit for today's paying guests. If anyone from the hotel disagrees, go spend the equivalent £70 in...

Good bits: staff on reception were lovely. Warm, welcoming and friendly. The red haired girl on reception did everything she could to make our stay better. Excellent customer service. The hotel is convenient for the train station, which is opposite. The beds were comfy and the shower was good. Bad bits: noisey and tired. The hotel is in need of...

Location wise was ok,bus station just a little way up road.Hotel was out dated with scribble on wall, hotel's heating system is absurdly loud it came on at 5am and was making a screeching kind of row for at least an hour.Told staff member when we was checking out and she seemed to not be bothered .Stayed at lot's of...

Hotel is in a good location and easy to find. It has its own car park but you still have to pay to park which I disagree with slightly, it's £8 for 24hrs which is discounted by the Hotel. Staff are friendly and the Hotel is clean and tidy. Rooms are a good size with everything you need. Plenty of...

Me and the other half decided we needed to let our hair down . Needed a cheap and cheerful hotel to put our heads down for the night which it did. Mattress was hard as rock and parking @ £8 is a bloody disgrace but around OK

Location is close to city centre and that is about as good as this offers. Check in not available til 3 pm. Car park charge of £8 for hotel guests is robbery! 2 staff on check in were not welcoming! Hotel room although clean was very dated and exceptionally warm. Trouser press in room doesn't work, ice machine near lift...

Stayed here for my husbands birthday. Nice friendly staff, clean rooms with a TV, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary shower gel, shampoo and soap. We had the buffet breakfast which cost £7.50 each. It was OK, the usual bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, juices and coffee etc.... Just one nit picky thing was when we checked in...

First visited here 14 years ago and not sure anything has changed since then! Issues - writing on the walls, room phone didn't work, you had to almost touch the Tv for the remote to work, beds move as soon as you sit on them and food was bland. Unfortunately during my stay my father in law was taken seriously...
