Detailed Reviews
Great location ideal for walking or hiking. Room was v clean with a great view of the rivers meeting and Woodland Hills with red kites flying above them. Breakfast service was spot on, full Irish fully eaten each time, service was very great, especially Dee who was very attentive and remembered the little things we liked with our breakfast. The bar was a great place to relax after a hike and chat to the locals( gas man rabbit) with the girls behind the bar very efficient, Guinness was good too. The staff and locals were very friendly offering plenty of tips throughout our stay. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay would highly recommend it to any looking for a place to get away from it all and go for hikes or relaxing walk, Derek and Dee keep up the good work.

Better than expected, some of the reviews I read about this place were ridiculous, room is smallish but perfectly adequate, fresh towels, bed spotless & tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was lovely too, full Irish included in price. Only downside the bar/restaurant only opens Fri-Sun but we walked to Rathdrum (6K go the old road main road too dangerous) had dinner in lovely place Jacobs Well food was gorgeous then we ordered taxi bk was 12 euro. The meetings had lovely balcony I’d say if weather was nice it’d be gorgeous sitting there listening to the water. Couldn’t recommend this place enough loads of walks to do and perfect for a chill out too!!

This hotel is located in a beautiful location. You only have to step outside and you are greeted by the meetings of the water with stunning views. The hotel itself has a lovely outdoor terrace with fairy lights where you can sit and have your drinks whilst listening and looking at the waters. It is conveniently located next door to a pub and craft shop. Breakfast served in the morning is inside a restaurant where you can also enjoy the views, there were a few options to choose from and something for us all. Rooms are lovely with a homely feel. There is also an area including fridges available by the outdoor terrace where we were offered to chill any of our own drinks alongside facilities to make hot drinks. All in all a great stay, we only stayed one night and wanted to stay longer- hopefully we will return!

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in County Wicklow, Ireland. I highly recommend staying at the Meetings Bed&Breakfast. The Meetings Bed&Breakfast is a Gem! I arrived to the Rathdrum Train Station and unfortunately all the taxi company’s were tied up working a wedding In the area. I called the Meetings Bed&Breakfast to see if they could organize a cab for me. About ten minutes later a car pulls up. To my surprise and amazement it was the owner of the Meetings Bed&Breakfast Derek. He helped me with my bags and drove me to his establishment. Upon arriving he helped me again with my bags and showed me to my room. Derek also showed me around his establishment. I was made feel very Welcome! I ended up having a few pints at the Meetings Pub. Derek and his Family all run the B&B, The pub and store on the premises. They are all True Professionals and very cool in my book. They take so much pride in their business and genuinely care about their guests. My room was so modern, very clean. My room had a great flat screen TV. You have a great selection of TV Channels due to it being hooked up to a satellite dish. My bed was so comfortable also. The next morning I had breakfast! Honestly the breakfast is probably one of the best Traditional Irish Breakfast’s I have had in many years. The coffee and orange juice tasted great. Absolutely no complaints from me! The Meetings Bed and Breakfast rates Five Stars and more! It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States for over Thirty Years and traveled all over the world with the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great Bed&Breakfast from all my travels and life experiences. Lastly the views from the Bed&Breakfast are absolutely amazing! You literally get to see we’re the rivers meet up! The Meetings Pub & Breakfast is A must visit in County Wicklow, Ireland!

We chose the Meetings B&B because we wanted a nice and calm end for our Ireland trip and we couldn't have found a more charming place with the most attentive, helpful and accomodating hosts! The location was brilliant for taking walks and enjoying the peaceful countryside. The view we had at breakfast was stunning, which made the start of every day fantastic. The room was the cleanest, most relaxing and charming, I have ever had (and I am traveling a lot). There was even a little common area with a fridge, coffee, books and games, which was right next to the patio with a view of the river. Fantastic to have your dinner there! We didn't have a car, which didn't impact our needs at all. There is a restaurant that delivers food to the Meetings (Asian, Italian, American) and there is a great hackney service to take you to the train or next towns if needed. The Meetings B&B is wonderful in every regard, and still nothing I could write would do this place or the lovely people working there enough justice. Just come here and see for yourself! We loved it!

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, stayed here for one night, its location alone is worth the stay. The room which I stayed was facing the river, amazing sound and view, room is basic but reflects the price, they have playstation for kids equipped kitchen facilities plus breakfast was excellent, its 10 minutes drive either direction for restaurants as they dont do food anymore. Family run staff I found very nice and helpful. All id say is make up your own mind.

Finally had a chance to stay at the Meetings and wasn't disappointed. We wanted to find a place close to Glendalough, and Meetings, at the confluence of two rivers, didn't disappoint. Even the drive down was silvan and beautiful. Rooms were comfortable, and yes, the decks are on two floors to enable the view over the river. The owners were so helpful and nice. Only problem was that the restaurant wasn't open. The owners worked with a local restaurant that delivered both Italian and Chinese food, so we didn't have to leave. If it had been warmer, we would have eaten outside. The bar was also pretty loud until just about exactly 11 and then completely shut down. So slept fine.

Visited for one night in July as a couple. Our room was clean and spacious and had a lovely view. The shower was big and had plenty of hot water. Close to Rathdrum for dinner and very close to Glendalough where we spent the day. After showers and food we went to the bar / for a couple of drinks. The staff were really pleasant and friendly. really nice outdoor area for drinks also, and while it poured rain all night, we still sat outside under the canopy and listened / looked at the rain and listened to the sounds of the river. The brekkie next morning was really nice with plenty of choice. Really enjoyed our stay here, and while the dining room for dinner isn't currently open there are a couple of places who will deliver and the staff will give you plates cutlery etc. cant wait to stay here again.

We sat down and asked for some potatoes and veg for my son, we were then told there were no potato or vegetable left. This was at 5pm on a Sunday, never heard the likes of it. I was offered pasta and sauce, which was no more than tomato puree and cold tagliatelle. I then went to order pepperoni and salami pizza, was told there was none left of this either. Ordered a different kind and upon arrival of the food, we discovered they were simply Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas. Tried to charge us €10 for a pizza thats worth €1.99 in lidl. My friend complained and was dismissed and no apology was offered. We were told, all pizzas are cooked in an oven. Very belittling. They just said well what do you want me to do about it.
Disgusting customer service.

The Meetings is a grim spot. Looks derelict from the back, broken glass lying on the decking, stuff dumped randomly. Looks like it was once a lovely spot and could be again, but would need a lot of work, care and attention. Saving grace was that room was ok, warm and reasonably clean. Breakfast in the cheap and tacky dining area was ok, although the bacon looked dodgy/discoloured/burnt. I had high hopes looking at the website photos, only to be disappointed by the reality.
The natural environs are lovely.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Whilst you are entitled to your judgement and we are entitled to disagree we would strongly encourage guests to raises issues whilst they are here and not leave it for several days to let us know via a review that another guest has broken glass on our deck which is of course a safety hazard and most people would alert staff to this when they see it.
