The room - Gorgeous room, spotlessly clean, massive double bed and a great bath for soaking. The bathroom was at the other end of the room so theres a window there for nice ventilation. Mirrors everywhere too. Very spacious, nothing to fault really except for the hairdryer had a faulty connection so it would keep switching off which was a bit annoying. Breakfast: scrumptious breakfast which is table service, there's just something about having your breakfast brought to you which feels luxurious. There is a buffet too in which you can get a high quality selection of cereals, juices and the like. The juice tasted very fresh and the brown bread was definitely homemade you can really tase the quality, delicious. The buttermilk pancakes were a real winner for me. So fluffy. The breakfast staff were so very lovely and extremely welcoming. Dinner: We ate here on both nights of our stay and holy God it was such a culinary experience. The first night I had the featherblade of beef and it was honestly one of the best meals of my life. I savored every moment. I highly recommend it to anyone. The second night I had the breast of chicken and it was also very very tasty. The sauce with it was to die for. The leisure Centre feels very premium, like the rooms, it is also spotlessly clean. The pool was a tad cold for me but I still throughly enjoyed it. The jacuzzi was a real treat as were the steam room and sauna. The staff - Saving the best for last. The staff at the Whitford are such a credit to the hotel. The best staff I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Real salt of the earth people. There was nothing they couldn't do for us. John in the restaurant made dining feel like a VIP experience. What a lovely charming man. The receptionists were so very kind. I felt sick coming to the end of my stay and the very kind receptionist managed to allow me to stay until 4 instead of the usual 1 to get me feeling a bit better. What a wonderful woman. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back soon. Favorite Irish hotel experience so far. …
Stayed for 3 nights with myself/husband and 3 kids. We had an absolute ball. Pool is great, playground and lots to do around. Curacloe beach was fantastic. Food was so nice and I can't say enough about the staff. So so friendly and great with the kids. It's been a tough year for everyone and this is exactly what we needed. Definitely will be back again!
We stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. We paid for a room upgrade which was worth it. The room was large and comfortable and it was nice to be able to step out on to the balcony for a bit of air. We dined in the bar and the food was very good. Breakfast is waiter service and the food again was fine. It was the staff that really stood out for us. From check in to dining in the evening and breakfast in the morning they were fantastic.
First time to stay here. Will definitely return. Staff really friendly and attentive. Room lovely and atmosphere in bar/restaurant was great, as was the music. Breakfast was also very good. Looking forward to our next stay.
Room was basic hotel room, room was very hot so we had to turn off the radiator for the second night as we couldn't sleep the first night. food was average, nothing special really. staff were very pleasant and helpful. no hot shower in the morning during our stay (2 nights). Overall disappointing and not worth the price paid.
We only stayed for one night but wish we booked for longer. The food was absolutely amazing, we had breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel and it was just fabulous. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, the room was good, clean with coffee tea and nice soap. We really wanted to use the sauna but didn’t have time so definitely next time we go we will use it! Thanks for a great stay
What a wonderful, welcoming, warm and cosy hotel. Such a welcome on arrival, staff were all amazing, food was amazing, location was perfect. Such a pleasant surprise for us. Will definitely be back as soon as we can. I cannot praise this hotel enough, we really enjoyed our stay, and it was much needed.
Always a great time at the Whitford! The rooms are lovely & cozy and exceptionally clean. The Leisure centre is very enjoyable with generous pool, whirlpool, steam room and sauna. Bar food was tasty and the staff friendly. Highly recommend!
Amazing from start to finish, super staff, food, rooms this is our second stay. The best hotel I have stayed in. The staff are just so kind and you just know they love working in such an amazing place.
We had a great weekend. Entertainment in the bar at night. The food in the bar and restaurant was delicious. Room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Great shopping in Wexford Town. Looking forward to returning.
