Popped in to rest and have a pint and stayed longer than I expected to or should have. Fantastic pint of Bud and a lovely chatty owner and locals. Felt like a proper Irish pub should do. A lovely spot with a 300-year history and it was friendly like a good pub should be and not all plastic and fake.
I stayed at the hotel and the shower door didn’t open fully and as i was getting out of the shower one of my body piercings ripped out i had to go to hospital and get my body cut open to get the piercing out worst pain of my life not to mention it was a dirty place to stay the food and the hosts were terrible was a horrible experience don’t bother going rather go camping then go near there
The room was fine. It was very basic but for the price I paid it was what I was expecting. Disliked · The experience was extremely disappointing. At 4am the fire alarms went off. It transpired that there was no staff member on the premises as was advertised on all platforms. The alarm rang at a shattering volume all night. I tried all night to call the number on the website but it just rung out over and over again. In the morning I assumed that the people who serve the breakfast would come and switch off the maddening alarm. Unfortunately nobody come to serve breakfast (advertised on all platforms). There was no breakfast. I walked out of the Foggy Dew at 9.30 to go to the meeting that brought me to Wexford in the first place- I hadn't slept a wink, I was hungry and there was nobody to explain why or apologise. The alarm was still ringing as I left. This was my worst accommodation experience ever!…
Booked three room's in here with my family over the new year. After a night out we got back to discover we could not get into the rooms, the electronic locks on two of the rooms wouldn't work. We tried to call the phone number on the web site to get some help but no answer. Only due to much persistence we got one of the rooms open, that saved five of us sleeping in a two bed room. The breakfast, cooked to your liking forget about it, no eggs or white pudding to be had in Wexford... On check in you have to wait for your key while the bar person serves the drinkers. I spoke to the manager the next day about what could have been a disaster and got the impression this was par for the course, forget about the refund, it ain't happening. this place is a joke and the joke is on you if you book in.…
Everything was terrible ! The minute we arrived the place stank of stale smoke ! The reception is in the bar, we got the keys to the room and when we went out to the hall it smelt like urine , we went up to the room and the lights were gone in the hall , we got to the room and there were cobwebs on the wall , yellow stains on the towels and someone already used the toilet before we got there ! The mattress was like a spring board , bed clothes where filthy! We had to leave and go to another hotel rang reception to report the problems we had and there was no answer so we left the property. I emailed the manager that night to tell them how upset I was and he emailed me back to say he wanted to take “legal action” against me as my partner put towel in the shower after seeing the yellow stains on them ? He said we trashed the place and that we came in drunk ? Baring in mind I do not drink ! My partner rang him the next day to resolve the problem and he said he would ring back about a refund? Still no call back and we also rang them again 4 times and left a message still no answer ? People really need to stay away from the place I am still waiting for my refund of €170 I am so upset and embarrassed that I brought my partner here ! And I will never recommend this place to anyone! It’s an absolute joke of a property!…
Came as part of a large group, extremely friendly and accommodating when other establishments were not. 5 stars for the staff and pub. Couldn't do enough for you good drinks and a chilled out atmosphere
When we checked in, we weren’t shown to our room, just given the key and told where it was. Weren’t given the WiFi, breakfast time or checkout. Later went and asked for WiFi and breakfast time, told breakfast was at 9am. WiFi never worked in our room. Went down for breakfast at 9:10am and the door was locked, tried 9:30, 10am and 10:30am but no one was there and door was locked. Room was noisy from pub next door. Emailed them via their website about breakfast but no reply. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!
The location was fantastic, but the rest of thing were really poor. To get to your room you have to go through lots of narrow and dangerous steps. The walls and ceiling were in bits, and the furniture too. The room had 2 air vent ( two holes) so you could hear all the noise from the pub/terrace next door. The "breakfast room" didn't have enough tables for all the guests so we had to go to have breakfast out. Also the stuff was never there, so we didn't know what to do. We had to wait 15 minutes until she finally came down from stuff room. Not recomendable at all.
Went on a Sunday night. , Lively small pub ,there was band on and later at 930 karaoke with a great host , beware if you order a double Spirit it will be 71 ml 😂😂I will be going back hic😉. Good value and lovely atmosphere
great nite in this pub they had music on there were 4 men in the group, we were 9 people from Dublin the music was good and entertaining, drinks reasonable priced and the bar man Mark was a lovely lad very friendly, will drop in here again.
