We booked so last minute , communication was perfect , our room was so big so clean , perfect for us 😀 went to the bar super friendly locals treated us so well loved it. PJ the bar man went out of his way to make us feel welcome even hand delivered my phone when I left it in the bar , couldn't ask for better ....100% recommend Buglars :)
Stayed for weekend at the end of September. Although accommodation was adequate and bar staff where good, our stay has horrendous. We seemed to be sharing the small accommodation section of building with a stag party. From 2am till 5am on both nights of our stay, our room and indeed other rooms where awoken with the kicking and banging of doors, of drunken idiots unable to find their rooms. On the second night I had to physically remove a man whom burst into my and my partner's room demanding that we were in his room. There is no security or indeed anyone to call to solve the matter. On leaving the Sunday morning I was lucky enough to find the proprietor and explained the situation,, as this group of lads where now drinking in his bar, his solution was to just walk away leaving me standing like an idiot until I just left.…
Always come here for a few pints and great music when in Wexford. What a great spot. Staff are great, friendly and chatty. The music is always brilliant , great sing along stuff that everyone can enjoy. Always our go to and we tell everyone to go there when in town
Decided to stay here after a day out in Wexford..Nice pub with rooms next door. Rooms are spotless and could not find fault..It was midweek so it cost 65 euro for a double room..Great value..Would stay and drink here again
Very easy to find on Wexford’s main street, I arrived early, before 13:00 knowing that check in was from 15:00. As I expected, my room wasn’t ready, but I only wanted to drop off my bag & call back later to check in & this was no problem as, the staff member that I was speaking to suggested I do that before I had a chance to ask. I returned to the bar at 17:00 to check in. A quick & friendly check in & I was given my room key & a key to enter the accommodation building. I’m not sure if there is a lift but I didn’t see one so, it was up to the top of the stairs for my room, no.24. What a shock when I opened my room door as the room far exceeded my expectations. At first glance, it was on a par or better than a lot of the hotel rooms that I have stayed in previously & many of them were in 4 star hotels. It appeared to be newly renovated & to a very high standard, was spotlessly clean, fresh & modern. It was a nice size with carpet floor, large wardrobe/closet, small table, 2 chairs, wall mounted tv, double bed, reading lights, mirror, smoke alarm, electric radiator, hairdryer, tea, coffee, loads of electrical sockets (I counted 8 x doubles = 16 sockets). The WiFi was good, easy to connect to, fast speeds & reliable. Two small windows, because of their positioning, let in an abundance of natural light & I had no issues with noise from outside or inside the building. There was no iron but that did not inconvenience me in any way. The bathroom … clean, stylish & a nice size with a tiled floor, a large open walk in shower space with an easy to control shower valve c/w shower head & hose on a rail, very good water pressure & any amount of hot water, mirror, ceiling vent, 2 bath & 2 hand towels, liquid handwash & 2 tubes of shampoo/bodywash. I called in to the bar for a nightcap at approx. 22:20 & it was very lively with friendly staff & customers. One pint of Guinness & one pint of Smithwicks ale cost 9.20 Euros. The accommodation does not offer breakfast but there are plenty of cafes nearby.…
Stayed here for 2 nights with family and I have to say was a fantastic place to stay. They go above and beyond for everyone. Rooms are spotless. Excellent location. Staff amazing. Loved every minute. Wexford buzzing all the time.
Booked this at short notice for a short staycation. While I wasnt expecting much from a room "over a bar" the room was excellent. Beautifully finished, spacious and spotless.... with a VERY comfortable bed and really good en suite. Highly recommended. If you want to be central and in the thick of things this is the place for you. This means however that you have no sea view and there may be some noise in the evenings. As the establishment does not do food there is no breakfast and no car parking . HOWEVER, you are a stones throw from several cafes for breakfast and there are 2 public car parks within yards of the pub. I am not listing these as negatives I'm simply setting expections. As I said , I highly recommend this establishment. Staff were friendly and gave great advice. In the evenings food from the local chipper or Chinese could be brought back to the tables. (If you do stay here get a take out from "Chin can cook" )…
My sister and I spent two nights in Bugler Doyles. We had requested twin beds and were surprised to be offered a family room with two bedrooms, an archway dividing the rooms. Rooms were hotel standard. Spotless, comfortable beds and a very modern wet room. These rooms were obviously recently refurbished. I counted 14 sockets in my room and 6 more in the other room! Two TVs which we didn't use. An ample amount of tea and coffee was supplied. We stayed the week before indoor drinking was permitted so no noisy nights. Access to bedrooms is through a separate door for which we had our own key. Fantastic location.
Gavin the waiter is unreal. So attentive to the group and such a nice man. He deserves a pay rise. Highly recommend this bar. Great atmosphere. Some spot. Would recommend to a friend or 5 haha. Mup out ouv ih xx
Bugler Doyle's, how to do this review as fair as possible while being so honest. Bugler Doyle's accommodation and bar, well ok there location firstly is truly central, right at the top of busy little high steeet, and close to couple of other pubs and a fantastic chipper. The pub itself is honestly really lovely and cosy and has most amazing log burner and nice atmosphere and the bar men are really friendly and nice. However the accomadation on the other hand is not all to be desired. Genuinely to me personally it is such a let down to the bar and staff. The door is seperate front the bar and only food thing is you had your own key to come and go as you like. That it that good part right there. The bad parts god I dreaded having to do this review, the stairs to rooms are a killer, they are so steep it not even funny. The room we got given was terrible, yes it had clean bed linen and tea making facilities. There was 2 of us booked a double room ended up room with double bed with 2 single beds squashes either side of it in long shaped room. The lamp shades on bedside lockers need to be replaced and someone seriously needs hoover at back bed cause when plugging in charger the dust was unreal. The bed was clean and seemed comfy enough. There was no chair in room sit on and be honest it wouldn't fitted in anyway. Towels just left on dresser no hand towel in bathroom and god I didn't like the bathroom at all, the runner on shower was black that we didn't even use it. The noise of the fan would give you headache and could do with updating. The view from our bedroom window, I don't know what they were thinking but you open your curtains and your facing a store room window directly across only couple feet and to side is window of room next door and awful view of roof other side, so kept curtains closed and lighting in room unless ya use lamps as well has 2 spot lights in long badly lit room. We had travelled by train were tired moody hungry and just wanted sit down and meant to have relaxing time away. So we said we see what was like for the night cause I wasn't in head space start to complain. The night time if your going to be out to early hours I'm sure would be fine. If you want an early night and nice relaxing sleep this is not place to be. We went to bed around 10pm cause we were shattered from shopping and out all day and I have say I nearly cried. A band started downstairs in the bar and it was like they were in the room beside us cause music hopped through the bedroom all night. The laughing and shouting of there customers and singing along to the music filled our room. Im sure they were having a good aul time but for us it was a nightmare. I didn't get to sleep till next morning, music stooped at early hours but my time I could relax with noise of them and other guests going bed slamming doors I was only fit to have a whinge and pack up my bags. We personally would never stay here again which is shame but if your away for drinking weekend and music and don't mind noise and just literally wanna pass out drunk then I'm sure other it be fine. We decided not go down complain cause in fairness what we're they going to do, tell band to stop playing, give me ear plugs drown out the noise and there was no rooms left in the nearest hotel and it was too late get out of there. It was an experience I'd never wanna have again and was delighted get room in local hotel as we're too over tired next morning travel all way home on empty belly as they don't even do breakfast. Apologies but I think honest review is needed cause if your gonna spend 90e like we did or bit more, I think be unfair say that we had great stay and we were disappointed that we didn't. We personally wouldn't be going back again…
