Stayed 3 nights.. Excellent. Greeted by owner Betty and looked after very well. Big rooms and large bathroom. Breakfasts were superb. Lots of choice. Excellent adherence to current Covid rules. Virtually no interaction with other guests was much appreciated in current times. Will definitely be back.
Where to start, a true example of excellent hospitality! The room and bathroom were amazing! We stayed for 5 wonderful nights to recharge the batteries. Betty & Mick the owners are wonderful hosts and looked after us from the moment we booked our stay. The choice and quality of breakfast each morning was a pure treat. There is a selection of beautiful fresh fruit & yogurt, and lots of hot breakfast options from the menu. (Including Gluten-Free) :-) Rathaspeck’s location is great for tourists like us. From here you are within minutes of Wexford Town, Rosslare, and Curracloe and it is also a great spot from which to strike to Hook Head, Kilmore Quay, and surrounds. Cannot fault anything with this gorgeous B&B.
I was travelling for work and luckily for me other hotels were booked up so I found this wonderful gem of a place. Everything, just everything was perfect. Betty and Mick were a joy. My room was fabulous. I slept like a log and felt like I was in a spa retreat rather than working. I count not recommend this beautiful place more highly. I will definitely be back - I certainly wont be staying in hotels from now on! Well done you two - it was the most enjoyable work trip I've ever had. Thanks
Truly superb accommodation. Beautiful home and a lovely place to stay if you want real peace and quiet. Betty and Mick are excellent hosts and the breakfast is terrific. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were delicious and kept me going for the day. The bed was big and comfy with beautiful fresh, high quality bedding. Bathroom had a lovely heated floor and excellent shower. The par three is excellent with well maintained greens and a couple of short par 4s for good measure. Quiet, peaceful and welcoming. We'll be looking for opportunities to return.
From the moment Betty greeted us at the very impressive entrance until we drove past the Dolls House to reluctantly go home every moment of our stay was perfect. Our room was, as were all the other rooms, lovingly and beautifully restored with luxurious fabrics and furnishings. The house itself is immaculately maintained and the grounds and golf course are amazing. If I had to pick one highlight it would have to be the chats over breakfast with Betty and Mick. Perfect hosts. They don't just make you feel welcome, they make you feel at home. We will definitely be back.
Enchanting little house full of style. Had everything needed for a special two night getaway. Clean and comfortable. Beds were so comfy. Host very helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back. Kitchen was fully equipped. Right beside wexford Town and attractions like johnstown Castle or ballycross Farm. Ratha speck has a golf course too if you fancy. A hidden gem we loved it.
Just home from a three night stay here. I really enjoyed it, felt like something different in comparison to a 'regular' hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Recommend the pancakes and full Irish. Betty and Mick are lovely, very genuine and attentive hosts. Room was beautiful, felt extremely luxurious as both bedrooms have access to their own little living room area. Bathroom is spacious, shower was really nice. House is beautiful and kept in excellent condition.
Although it was February, and the wind howled, the stately Manor was a perfect backdrop to a stormy night. Beautifully appointed bedrooms rooms and reception areas, this superb property should be on the list of anyone looking for somewhere memorable to stay. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
We came for the opera and decided not to stay in town. This was true serendipity- the property was absolutely beautiful and the hospitality was perfection. We loved everything about the room (nice large bathroom) and all of the creature comforts of being in the family's home. I would HIGHLY recommend Rathaspeck Manor.
We arrived at 7pm off the ferry and headed to Rathaspeck Manor and received a lovely warm welcome from our host Michael. He took our luggage upstairs for us and showed us Ella's room, which was beautifully decorated, in tasteful colours. A lovely English suite attached. We had a sitting room, outside the bedroom to ourselves, as no one else appeared to be staying. The room is more traditionally decorated, with an original Adams fireplace. Tea, coffee and muffins were provided with fresh milk (no ghastly uht cartons) and room for wine if you want to bring some. There were wine glasses provided as well as a corkscrew. On Michael's suggestion we went to the Whitford house hotel a mere five minutes drive for a very generous, well priced meal. We headed back and had a very good nights sleep. Dressing gowns were provided in the wardrobe (could do with fabric conditioner, as they were too rough) the shower was powerful and the heated bathroom floor was so cosy. We met Betty in the morning who cooked us a lovely breakfast. Fresh fruit, lovely yoghurts and an enormous pot of tea. We had to head off to visit our son in Dublin, our stay was sadly for one night only. We were waved off and had a trio of friendly dogs to say goodbye. Cannot fault anything with this gorgeous B&B.…
