Had a fantastic time at the tranquility spa of Clayton White Wexford. Staff was very kind, polite and so caring. The swedish massage experience was a bliss. It was a 25mn treatment but felt like an hour. Many thanks to Helene she did wonders and removed my shoulders knots. They allow me to use the relaxation area as much as I needed. I definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you. Fatu
Whites has all the makings of a lovely hotel but unfortunately they appear to be chronically understaffed and it showed in the lack of cleanliness at breakfast. The Good: - wonderfully friendly staff, just not enough of them - lunch in the bar was nice - affordable prices - central location The Bad: - Breakfast: I picked up six different glasses beside the juice stand and each one was dirty with lip marks or old juice bits so I gave up. We queued for the hot food and went through four trays before we found one that didn’t have old food on it. There was no member of staff overseeing the hot food desk, no one even in the vicinity, so there was spilled food all over the area. People were mixing spoons and tongs to pick up meat and non meat items. Extremely unappetising. I went out to reception and alerted the staff there and they were soon present in the breakfast room trying to get things in order but it was too late for us unfortunately. - Sleep: we had a room facing the internal courtyard and other hotel rooms. At 4am, guests chatting and laughing in the courtyard woke us up. The noise was so loud we were convinced we’d left a window open (we hadn’t!). It went on for some time. -Room: our room appeared to be in the newer part of the hotel and was much more modern than our friends’. However, the grouting in the bathroom was discoloured in places and there was mildew on the silicon around the shower, easily fixable. The hallway to the room had quite a musty smell, again, fixable with some attention. …
check in was not good took our money never told us what direction room were ? Breakfast self service when we found it , not great tea pot filthy, our friend booked breakfast in room that never arrived had to phone reception when it arrived was cold, check out fine until we arrived at car and our friend arrived down to say they were asked for money for food that they already paid and then said they had 2 walk out which was us, went back to reception and told them we never walked out we checked out with them no apology, carpet in bedroom badly stained very bad experience
I love this hotel. It’s great for families, couples etc. it’s so close to everywhere & wexford itself is fantastic. The room was lovely & clean. The only issue I had is the air con, it was freezing when we got to the room. It heated up quick though. Really lovely hotel & I’ll 100% be back.
We didn’t stay in the hotel but did eat dinner in the bar. While there appeared to be plenty staff on duty actually getting service was challenging. Standard fare, nothing exciting or special. Burger was very tasty but the fish & chips was bland and tasteless. Best part of the meal was the local Yellowbelly beer, light, citrus flavour, great thirst quencher.
Ordered coffee in lobby cafe - one order in front of me. 20min later, reminded staff twice discretely. Issue: staff inc very condesending manager served 6+ take away coffees before mine. Took another 5 min to get money back! I'm a regular customer in cafe, bar and restaurant. Disgraceful!
Just went to the spa here for my 4oth birthday. It was a fabulous experience. One of the most relaxing and attentive service and rest areas with tea etc. Highly recommend. The only point I would make is it may need some light renovations, but nothing that would stop me returning or giving the service there this excellent score.
When you walk into this Hotel you say . Yes I choose a Great place to stay. I had said my husband is in a wheelchair when booking. But I wanted a Treat and choose a suite which was informed that would be suitable for us . It was for 3 nights and paid Top Rate when checking in on line before we got to hotel. Our Room was fine plenty room Two TVs Fridge and a lounge space . But the bathroom was not at all nice cracked tiles no little treats like what you’d expect to find like soap shampoo body creams or shower cap. The sink pretty awful and floor tiles were like they needed a good cleaning. . Disappointed. Staff were Very nice Bar was very entertaining with music every evening.
Wonderful staff, very friendly. Food was ok but didn’t take away from the overall experience. Very friendly gym staff and brilliant location. Would recommend to my friends and family and any one else wanting to stay in Wexford. Thank you..
Whites is constantly busy and full of people coming and going especially during the opera festival week. However the charming and well trained staff manage to make each guest feel extremely important and very welcome. The care and politeness of the staff is what stands out, the management here are absolutely up to speed and determined that everything runs smoothly. I will not remember the bedroom which was rather bland and a little small, but I will never forget the warmth of the smile, the desire to please of the wonderful staff, most of whom appeared to be local .These are the things that matter to guests, so well done to all.
