Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the second time this year we have stayed at Tuskar House before taking the ferry early in the morning. We were just as impressed as on the first visit which was pre Covid times. Cleanliness and precautions were excellent. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The real plus for Tuskar House is the warm and friendly welcome from Eileen and her desire to make your stay as comfortable as possible. As Covid restrictions meant that we could not eat out Eileen recommended the fish and chip shop (other things available on the menu) a couple of minutes walk from the house. This was very good! The very close proximity to the ferry port (4 minutes drive) makes this an excellent location. Tuskar House definitely merits 5 stars in all aspects and when Eileen is factored in it is “perfect”!

We had a really good experience, once again, at Tuskar House. An unplanned trip to Ireland for a family bereavement meant we need accommodation close to the port.

We contacted Tuskar House who were very quick to respond. They sought confirmation of our Covid-19 tests so we knew they took their procedures and arrangements seriously, which put our minds at rest.

We have stayed there previously, also in room 1, and it was spotless with all the necessary amenities.

The location is fantastic and we were able to watch the ferries come and go from our window.

I would definitely recommend.

Communication between booking and arrival was easy and when we arrived we received a warm welcome. Our room was huge, and with a view on the Ferry Port which was great! The B&B we understood is quite recent and indeed the room & the rest of the house looked very new.
The whole place was very clean also which is reassuring in covid times.
There are 2 take away, a chips shop next door and a chinese shop (delivery) or else a Super Valu at the end of the road (where we have bought our 2 breakfasts).
We enjoyed our stay in Rosslare Harbour and had a safe weekend end hiking on the coast. Would happily come back!

I booked this B&B on their own website which took my card details which was all very straightforward. On the day of my arrival I got a call around 12.30pm stating that my card was declined and asked me to come over to check in asap or they wouldn't hold the room for me. I explained I had been travelling for hours in 28°c and had just arrived at the beach with 3 young children which was approx 30 mins from our accommodation I had to get back in the car and go to check in and pay cash.. the fault was actually with they're machine. It cost €110.50 for the room I gave her €150 and she fumbling around trying to get change for the 50 cent. She also asked me why I didnt ask for a camp bed.. I booked a room for 1 adult and 3 children surely its obvious I need enough beds to accommodate 4 people esp since I gave their ages there were no babies. There was only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. Other than that we slept well and it was clean.

Like I would imagine, most who stay here, we were catching the ferry the next day, so it’s mostly for convenience. The place is no frills, and there is no breakfast served, though I believe it is available at a ‘sister’ hotel. The room was large and airy, and clean and comfortable. Parking is off the road. There is no bar for food and Rosslare harbour area has limited facilities, though there is a couple of take away places to eat or a supermarket if you’re prepared to sort yourself out. Ferry terminal is literally 2 minutes away. Would be happy to stay again.

My experience with this accommodation was very disappointing. I booked for one night as I was arriving on an evening ferry. The ferry got cancelled however so naturally I was not going to make it to Rosslare. I requested a waiver of the charge but also emailed the b&b myself. While I was waiting to hear back from them the money was taken from my account. I then rang them and was really shocked by the cold uncaring response. She absolutely refused to give any concession as it was "not her problem ". I got a very clear view of their ethos in terms of customer care. I run a B&B myself and I could never treat a customer like this.

We booked this B&B after reading the Trip Advisor comments. We were booked on the 7am crossing back to the Uk and in need of accommodation close to the port for the night. We were welcomed by the owner, very pleasant lady who was handing over to a gentleman for the rest of the day. He was also extremely helpful. The room was huge, very clean, an excellent stop, we would happily use again on a visit to Ireland.

I was delighted to return to Tuskar House after a number of years. The weather was very nice so I took advantage of the cliff walk right behind the accomodation and enjoyed the local memorial garden. Clean, spacious room and staff were friendly and courteous. Will definately be returning soon.

Stayed here for 1 night in one of the ground floor suites. Beautiful big room with a big bathroom and great shower. Due to Covid19 they're not doing breakfast at the moment but the lady who checked us in recommended The Garden Cafe in The Railway Social Club. It's just a 100 metres up the Roald and well worth a visit.
