My experience with this accommodation was very disappointing. I booked for one night as I was arriving on an evening ferry. The ferry got cancelled however so naturally I was not going to make it to Rosslare. I requested a waiver of the charge but also emailed the b&b myself. While I was waiting to hear back from them the money was taken from my account. I then rang them and was really shocked by the cold uncaring response. She absolutely refused to give any concession as it was "not her problem ". I got a very clear view of their ethos in terms of customer care. I run a B&B myself and I could never treat a customer like this.
We returned once again to Tusksr House by the sea As always the room was very spacious and very clean The welcome was great Only 2 minutes to ferry Lovely cliff top walk We visited the local Secret Gardens We are already looking forward to our return visit next March
Well appointed, quiet and clean room with great bathroom and walk-in shower. Just a pity we had to leave at 6.00 for the ferry! For foot passengers, there is a shortcut to the Ferryport: turn left out of the B&B entrance and then left down the side of Rosslare Hotel (about 50 metres along the road), then there is a ramp (on the left) and steps (to the right) down to very near the port entrance.
We booked this B&B after reading the Trip Advisor comments. We were booked on the 7am crossing back to the Uk and in need of accommodation close to the port for the night. We were welcomed by the owner, very pleasant lady who was handing over to a gentleman for the rest of the day. He was also extremely helpful. The room was huge, very clean, an excellent stop, we would happily use again on a visit to Ireland.
We returned many times to Tusksr House by the sea Very clean and modern with view of port and beach Lovely cliff top walk We also visited Kirwans secret gardens 2 minutes walk We were 2 mins drive to Ferry We hope to return in September. The staff as always were very friendly and went out of there way to help us.
We really enjoyed our stay at Tuskar House by the sea We had a very spacious room with a view of the harbour to see the ferries comimg and going The bathroom was great with super powerful shower The house was very nice all over The lady of the house was very friendly We booked to return next August
This is a very nicely decorated house close to the port. The owner is pleasant and accommodating. There is a huge car park. The downside is the beds are very uncomfortable, extremely soft with no support. Also, depending on other guests it can be noisy as our first night was with people above stomping around until extremely late and again very early in the morning!
We had a very enjoyable stay The room was spacious The shower room was huge with great power in water We had a view overlooking harbour and close to a beautiful cliff top walk We enjoyed a walk around the secret gardens which were 2 minutes walk away We booked again for next year
I booked this B&B on their own website which took my card details which was all very straightforward. On the day of my arrival I got a call around 12.30pm stating that my card was declined and asked me to come over to check in asap or they wouldn't hold the room for me. I explained I had been travelling for hours in 28°c and had just arrived at the beach with 3 young children which was approx 30 mins from our accommodation I had to get back in the car and go to check in and pay cash.. the fault was actually with they're machine. It cost €110.50 for the room I gave her €150 and she fumbling around trying to get change for the 50 cent. She also asked me why I didnt ask for a camp bed.. I booked a room for 1 adult and 3 children surely its obvious I need enough beds to accommodate 4 people esp since I gave their ages there were no babies. There was only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. Other than that we slept well and it was clean.…
Communication between booking and arrival was easy and when we arrived we received a warm welcome. Our room was huge, and with a view on the Ferry Port which was great! The B&B we understood is quite recent and indeed the room & the rest of the house looked very new. The whole place was very clean also which is reassuring in covid times. There are 2 take away, a chips shop next door and a chinese shop (delivery) or else a Super Valu at the end of the road (where we have bought our 2 breakfasts). We enjoyed our stay in Rosslare Harbour and had a safe weekend end hiking on the coast. Would happily come back!
