Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Musty smell in room. Old furnishings, dull grey colour throughout, it could do with a makeover. Hallway had two rubbish bins packed sky high for two days. Fire hazard. Breakfast is the only plus here. Good morning and how was your stay could be a good way to start. I too would be afraid to ask this question. I guess you get what you pay for. The owner of this property can well afford to repaint and repair. Was the grey paint on sale perhaps? Pity, they could upgrade this place and give Kelly’s a run for their money.

Popped in for dinner on Sunday night. Food was very good, had hot wings to start and steak for mains.. couldn't ask for better. Staff very friendly and helpful, recommended cocktails which went down well with my wife. I stuck with the Guinness which also went down very well. Bar is a great place to dine, nice and relaxing, it's just a pitty we were unable to stay for a few more pints. There was quite a few people around which is great for a Sunday evening. Will definitely be back, great food, great staff, great atmosphere.

Spent two nights here, and have mixed views. The staff both at reception and in the dining room were fantastic and so friendly, couldn't do enough for us. Food was also good. However, while the room was nicely decorated, the bathroom was very tired and need of serious updating. The reception and the bar area nicely decorated, but the carpet on stairs and landing needs replacing, H and S in some areas. Hotel has so much potential. Another issue, and very off putting is the permanent residents of the hotel smoking at the front door, not a good look. Overall, a nice stay.

Super friendly staff, tasty breakfast and great service, a comfortable room, spotlessly clean, a nice thick mattress for a great sleep, fabulous midweek mini break. Thanks very much. We will be back.

Just back from a meal in the bar we ordered a starter to share which was lovely but no finger bowl or napkins then when we finished we had to wait and hour and a half for our main meal to arrive and when it arrived no steak knifes and the food was not great the onions where cold and the steak was not too warm either not once where we apologised for the delay or asked how our meal was other dinners who had arrived after us got their meals before us you might be the nearest restaurant to us but we will not be back again

Stayed solo in a suite as it was the only room left. Very large rooms. Unfortunately the decor was very tired with chipped paint and wobbly plug sockets. The bathroom grout and bath/ shower surround was full of mildew so gave a poor overall impression . Not worth the €189 .

We were stunned at the very poor condition of our room. The beds were clean but the the paintwork on all walls and furniture was badly chipped and urgently in need of a coat of paint. The tiles in the bathroom were also in need of replacement. The breakfast was very good and the staff were helpful and friendly but the hotel itself is badly in need of a complete refurb.

Reception was very welcoming and our room - suite - was huge, two large rooms and two bathrooms. The bed was big and very comfortable. The bar service was lovely but the food was a disappointment though deducted from our bill. Lots of parking and in a beachside community we would certainly stay again.
