Five stars, excellent experience, food is very good, lovely wine list, complimentary tea, and coffee all day, complimentary mini afternoon tea, complimentary champagne reception, beautiful gardens, right on the beach, loads of nooks and crannies for reading a book or nodding off, outdoor hot tub overlooking the beach, dancing, and music at night. There were a lot of multi-generational families they were all having a great time other than that the clientele is older. The hotel is very family-orientated nonetheless it would be a great choice for anyone needing a bit of time away or a bit of head space. There were a few guests on their own and they were well catered for. The hotel is a contender for the best hotel in Ireland and is a credit to the owner who every evening personally went around checking that the guests were alright.…

The Sea Rooms restaurant. We went to this new garden restaurant at Kelly's hotel Rosslare for the wife's birthday as we had heard great reports about it and the chef who has apparently won awards! First, the view over Rosslare harbour and the Irish sea is excellent, unfortunately that was it! The menu offers two prices €55 or €70 depending on the number of courses! We decided on the 3 course €55 menu expecting a delicious meal similar to what the main restaurants and La Marine bistro in Kelly's hotel provide! Unfortunately, this was definitely 'nouveau' style servings, small portions of vegetables and meat which were scattered artistically around the plate to make less look like more! We were quite disappointed with the food and add a bottle of wine at almost €40 plus other drinks on top of menu price it makes it an expensive night out! As an aside, our table had a coffee stain on it and the rug next to us had multiple food and wine stains on it! We will definitely eat at Kelly's again but probably not at the Sea Rooms restaurant!…

We appreciate your compliments about the excellent view over Rosslare Harbour and the Irish Sea. First time staying in Kellys. It was really lovely experience. Unlike many modern hotels, Kellys has a warm friendly atmosphere. It's how hotels were run in the historically!! The staff were friendly and kind. You can see that it is all returning customers of families and older people. There is lots to do and the spa was wonderful! We enjoyed an hour in the thermal suite. Our bedroom was comfortable and well-appointed. We had nice sea-view window. The food was delicious and varied. We also enjoyed the wine list. There are lovely snug spots like the library and tv room to slink off to with a book! The art collection is terrific! Im not sure Id return again as I feel you probably need some long fond connection with the place and Im sure its very difficult to book! I might have missed that boat. But that did not take away from my enjoyment of staying there! …

Still the fabulous hotel it always was. Such an amazing stay with a spectacular sea view room. Everything was 5* loved everything about it. It’s been a while since I stayed here so was a tiny bit apprehensive, it did not disappoint loved everything about it. Staff food etc top notch. Then a spa treatment…., Felicity provided me with an excellent 1-hour facial and massage experience. She was extremely professional, gentle and fabulous throughout the session. Her expertise and attention to detail were impressive, and I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards. Kelly's Spa Rosslare is lucky to have such a talented therapist on their team. I highly recommend Felicity for anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience.

It is a while since we have been here and to our pleasant surprise it is better it has got, a rarity in this climate, book in staff so welcoming, rooms perfect for a good nights sleep, a very relaxing atmosphere in hotel, by the sea with plenty viewing areas, outdoor hot tub with a beautiful sea view was the stand out of a excellent leisure centre, meals of such a high quality, breakfast beyond excellent, afternoon tea as part of staying is a nice touch, no need to leave hotel as all needs met including lovely nightime entertainment..Just Go There..Treat Yourself..

Just returned from a six day break in Kelly’s . This is a wonderful hotel in Ireland that caters for all the family . We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 smallies) just back from Kellys. I have to say it was a wonderful experience. I booked the Seaspa treatments sometime ago and had prepared everything so that my wife and I could enjoy it. Kellys have a kids club that caters for kids over 4, and has something for over 8s also. As well as a creche. Our kids were quite difficult because the 9 year old was quite clingy and our 4 year old developed an ear infection before we set off for Kellys. But this did not stop the staff from making sure my wife and I got away to do our treatments. The kids club staff were so good. We also got a fridge made available so that we could store the 4 year old's medicine, and this was no problem to the reception. Our kids also did not prevent us from having the finest food we'e ever tasted. The Ivy Room caters for parents who needs to keep their children around and can have the same menu as those in the fine dining area (Beaches). A really nice lady named Bernie looked after us every meal time so that it was a stress-free event. Despite catering for families, the atmosphere is wonderful and relaxed where people are lounging around the place with a good book in their hand. Our 9 year old made some friends and went exploring and hanging around the hotel, so we were happy with this. What was also nice was the owner and proprietor, Bill Kelly, visiting people (including us) to say hello and welcome. This is something you don't see in other places. The flowers and paintings are beautiful. I could see a florist coming in to ensure a fresh batch/bouquet was always presented. There's a sculpture by Rowan Gillespie (the same who did the famine sculptures in Dublin's north Liffey dock) which shows that the entire place could be a sort of gallery. We also have to thank the receptionist, Katie, for assisting us during our stay. We felt like VIPs there but I know everyone received this treatment also.…

I stayed in Kelly’s for a midweek break with my mother recently. We had the most wonderful time in the hotel - good food, amazing staff and nothing is ever any trouble for the staff. We met lots of lovely guests also and enjoyed the many facilities the hotel has to offer. There were a few bugbears that I feel I need to bring to light. Firstly the room. The only room available that night for us was a disabled access room. The room was dated and marks on walls and just needed a bit of modernisation. The beds were super comfy. The bathroom was terrible. I am very tall and the shower was so low, I had to stoop down. Not very luxurious or practical. We had gone to reception to query were there other rooms that night but unfortunately not. Secondly was the gym and pool locker rooms. Some lockers were broken - doors hanging off the odd few and locks not working. We didn’t mind as we just had our swimming bits with us and had our bathrobes on us. The last issue probably makes me question Kelly’s in their dealing with “filtering” out certain guests. I have heard from a hotelier friend this can happen in some hotels. Kelly’s is indeed a high end hotel and has high end clientele. I have a very strong regional accent from where I was born and bred. My accent is by no means a D4 accent but I have to say that I was quite offended when initially, at the time of booking, I was told no rooms available and the lady on the phone was quiet abrupt and unhelpful . Got my husband to ring an hour later on the same day and he was told there was a room available. Maybe a coincidence perhaps but I don’t know! I would still recommend Kelly’s - we had a great time but those other issues need to be ironed out in the meantime. No hotel likes riff raff but Paying guests are paying guests.…
