Detailed Reviews
I must say, it was the best Guesthouse where I have been in a long time. John, the owner was a star, providing us with everything necessary for our accomodation. We are smokers, and were passing most of the time outside. John brought us the table and chairs for us to be comfortable, and when noticed we had a low volume speaker, he offered his own speaker, for us.
The rooms are cozy and the beds are very good.
I recommend everyone, a family or a group of friends, to book St Martins Guesthouse and trust me, you won't regret.

As a family of 5 we seriously struggled to get accommodation to suit us without paying for 2 rooms , so we were delighted to get this room with 2 double beds & 1 single bed. The room was spacious, beds very comfortable. Shower very powerful, never any issue with hot water. Good tv in the room & WiFi available. However there is no breakfast available. Rates are room only. We knew this when we booked but people may not realise as it’s called a b&b so it’s easy to assume there is breakfast.
The host was very friendly on arrival . He provided anything we needed throughout the stay without being intrusive. Perfect mix of being friendly & staying out of your way !!
. Nice touch of water & prepacked pastries in the room which was very welcome on the first day.
Absolutely no complaints about the accommodation itself .
However as a family with young kids , the area itself wasn’t ideal. Only one place in walking distance for breakfast & no where really for an evening meal & drinks that you can walk to & from. We did a lot of driving over the 4 days. We expected this for day trips but were hoping to be able to walk for a meal.
There is a SuperValu supermarket at the end of the road which was very handy for stocking up on water & snacks . We also got breakfast there & ate at picnic benches further up the road .
Al in all we enjoyed our stay & would recommend for anyone looking for a short stop over or if longer , for people happy to drive for amenities, entertainment & food & just looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep .

We have recently stayed here for the first time.
We were very impressed with the lovely warm welcome we received from Johnathan and the accommodation itself.
It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable.
We liked the size of the room and the comforts of the bed. The shower was excellent and the towels were a very good quality.
It was handy to have tea and coffee in the room and the local information sheet was very useful.
There is plenty of parking on site (free) and we were minutes from the ferry port
A superValu supermarket is nearby as is a petrol station and a couple of pubs serving food.
All in all a great, affordable, place to stay and we will not hesitate to stay there again.

Firstly if you want to stay in an accommodation where you’re barely allowed to breathe then go ahead book here! If you enjoy being dictated to again go ahead and book! Myself i prefer to have a weekend away and actually be able to talk to the people I’m with without being told that if it happens again we’ll be thrown out!! Jonathan the “host” is the most pathetic excuse for a “man” I have ever come across….attempting to intimidate women is his thing (and that’s not even while we were at the accommodation!) Apparently he has cameras “everywhere” so can always see what is going on… not quite sure that’s legal but moving on….
As for the accommodation itself it’s way below par for the price. You’re told to be quiet but even walking across the room is louder than the flight path of Dublin airport!! The bathroom although it looks good smells and the shower is barely a trickle…. Don’t attempt to wash your hair girls unless you want to be in there for 2 hours!! We arrived and only one of the beds was made up… no sheets for the other!! Not enough towels provided, uncomfortable noisy beds the list goes on!
The guests are told to be quiet or we’ll be thrown out, however it’s fine for the cleaners to be banging about and vacuuming before 7am every morning. The vacuum was also left at the top of the stairs for guests to trip over…. Health and Safety???
All in all don’t stay here it’s the worst advertising for the amazing Rosslare Harbour…. If I could have given this place zero stars I would have!

Hi Claire, Where to start… 4 very classy “ladies” who arrived back at 2am drunk off their heads and tried to bring men to their room. Of course I was going to say something and tell you not to do that again but there’s no need to make up lies about the facilities or me trying to intimidate you, that’s absolutely farcical. The disrespect and ignorance you showed to the other guests you disturbed and the lack of of class in your manner and behaviour was disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourselves. We have a Ring doorbell camera which is fairly standard for a guesthouse. Your rooms were left like a pigsty, which is not surprising for your common as muck behaviour.

Firstly Jonathan, yes we arrived home at 2 am, to be told we had been making noise since 12.30?? Obviously you have reviewed your camera footage and adjusted your timings accordingly.
I would like to add that said gentlemen were family members, as you are trying to imply otherwise. We were not informed or a curfew or lights out policy?? Maybe you should add this to your advertisement? So assumed we could access our rooms, paid for in cash, upfront on arrival, whenever we liked.
Our rooms were not left in a pigsty, we were hardly in them to make a mess as we stayed out as much as possible to avoid you!
The purpose of our visit was to attend a function organised by, again, a family member. Which you also attended and proceeded to, along with your fiancé, verbally and physically attack us, despite us previously apologising and having to promise to be more quiet so we wouldn’t get ‘ thrown out’.
So to finish up, if you would like to experience staying in a detention centre with an aggressive drill sergeant, please book a stay at St Martins, if you would like to experience the beauty, friendliness and hospitality Rosslare is known for, book ANYWHERE else, even a sleeping bag on the beach in the middle of winter would be an improvement!
(The beach is lovely by the way)

Jonathan is warm and welcoming and the accommodation is conveniently situated less than 2 mins from the ferry port. The rooms are spacious and light, the beds are comfy, the rooms are spotless. (We stayed here on two separate occasions staying in a different room each time). Jonathan was really flexible and accommodated an earlier check in for us as well. Highly recommend.

I stay with my friends a whole weekend and we couldn´t be more grateful. The bedrooms were really big, the house all clean and the best thing was the landlord who give us all the comforts as he can.
He was the best landlord I ever see, everything we needed, he provided it to us even without asking.
I totally recommend it, not only for the excellent location, but also for the excellent treatment.

Love this place. SO convenient for an onward journey either way via the ferry and John is a very friendly and efficient host. He helped us a lot when our late ferry was even later by two hours so we managed to find a place to eat.
Will be here again. Thanks

This is quite possibly the worst stay we have had during our many travels.
We had booked online without being told it was Cash Only. We had given the information prior that we would arrive after 8PM & Leave before 7AM just needing a shower and a nap between travels. We are in our mid to late 20s and he laughed in our faces "You can not get breakfast & a room for that price" when we had reserved a room including breakfast.
My husband hopped into the shower before bed a bit after 11PM as I fell asleep. I was rudely awaken by someone pounding on our door within 5 minutes. I am uncomfortable in my PJs slightly opening the door to a view of the owner not dressed in a way to talk to guests Yelling at me. "There are old people trying to sleep. You can NOT use the water at this hour". Telling him I will let my husband know to hurry up was not enough. He demanded the water be turned off immediately even though my husband was covered in soap.
We stay at B&B establishments regularly, and some include house rules. All this one had posted was "Please don't leave the bathroom fan on all night". Needless to say there was no resolution, no partial refund since we couldn't fully use our room, no breakfast given, and the worst part was the owner was too cowardly to even be found in the morning for an appropriately dressed conversation though he knew when we were checking out. Our key just got left as no help was found.
Not worth the experience if he would have paid us.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Drove for nearly 3 hours to arrive late into Rosslare harbour, last check in was 10pm and owner rang at 9pm saying he had to be somewhere and we should hurry up. Explained that we would be another 30-40 minutes, only for the owner to cancel our booking, leaving myself and a friend with nowhere to stay late at night in Rosslare. He then went on to charge me for this, the owner is scum, and i'm not surprised from previous reviews how rude the staff are. Stay somewhere else otherwise you'll be left with nowhere to stay in a strange town in the middle of nowhere.

Check in is from 4pm to 10pm. When you made your booking, you stated an arrival time of between 8pm and 9pm. My first call to you was at 8.45pm and you said you expected to arrive in 20 minutes. I called you again at 9.45pm and you said you were 2 minutes away. At half 10 you had still not arrived.
